Defog is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move, introduced in Generation IV. The HM containing the move is given to the player by a man in Sinnoh's Great Marsh, right inside the entrance.
Defog cannot be used outside of battle without the Pastoria City Gym badge.
Effect
Defog clears away fog and in-battle obstacles on the target's side of the field, including Light Screen, Reflect, Safeguard, Mist, as well as Spikes, Toxic Spikes, and Stealth Rock present on the target's side of the field. It also lowers the target's Evasion one stage.
