Trivia
- Heatran is the first legendary Pokémon that can either be male or female. Ironically, Heatran was created by a non-reproductive technique.
- No other Pokémon has the same type combination as Heatran.
- Heatran is the only Pokémon that is immune to both poison and burn.
- Heatran is the only Pokémon that is not a Template:Type2 that learns Stone Edge by level, not counting Steelix because it evolves from the Template:Type2 Onix.
- Heatran is the last Template:Type2 Pokémon in National Dex order, and also the last Template:Type2.
Origin
Name origin
Its name comes from the words heat and possibly transfer. The "doran" in its Japanese name can also be read as "dran", so it may be a combination of "heat" and "dragon".
