Question

Hello, Carmen. My name is The Pokémon Master. I was wondering if it would it be alright with you if I made use of the coding from your user page, specifically the background colors. If not, I completely understand. Thank you for taking the time to read this message! I look forward to working with you in the future. - The Pokémon Master (talk) 21:58, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

Sure, go ahead. Thanks for asking in advance. Don't forget to follow the userspace policy and to balance your userspace edits with mainspace edits. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 00:02, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
Thanks! I want to contribute more to the mainspace, but I ran into difficulty in the past because I disagreed with the wording/formatting on many of the articles. Kinda too scared to do much of anything besides gnome work, now… - The Pokémon Master (talk) 00:37, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
There's nothing really wrong with gnome work, but if you'd like to help out more, there are a bunch of articles needing improvement, stubs you can work on, and articles needing more information. Don't be afraid to edit; if you make mistakes, you can always learn from them and improve. No one is perfect. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 00:45, 19 May 2016 (UTC)

Sleep Talk

If it isn't correct, why does it say in the by leveling up that in RSE (so Emerald too), only Whismur,Loudred and Exploud can learn it? Lokki (talk) 14:03, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

A bunch of Pokémon can learn Sleep Talk via Move Tutor in Emerald. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 14:05, 29 May 2016 (UTC)

Edits on Spheal evolutionary line Egg cycles

Thank you for quickly fixing my edits to the Egg cycle numbers. I was just about to do that after noticing that I had used an incorrect Pokemon without Flame Body as my party lead (never happened to me before) when I was breeding for Spheals, which resulted in twice as high step count for hatching them. Minazuki (talk) 21:38, 16 June 2016 (UTC)

I tried to undo that edit on New Unova Pokedex myself but it was identified as harmful

It was a test edit. It was reserved in case someone wanted to move this to a new page. I'm just a new user Alexlatham96

I was going to leave a message on your talk page, but I'll just do it here now. Please note that the mainspace is not the place for your "tests." If you want to test something, either just preview the page without saving or take your edits to Bulbapedia:Sandbox. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 03:36, 24 July 2016 (UTC)

I'm sorry for that

I know I have made many edits on my userpage and it is not accepted here. I just wanted to show you an improved national pokedex list which I have created on other Pokemon Wiki and suggest to add it on Bulbapedia. Sorry for my bad English. --Dominikololo (talk) 18:01, 29 July 2016 (UTC)

I'd like to request an additional "Switch leaders" for Allowances in the Template:Dungeon infobox

I apologize if I seem more impatient than usual.

Anyway, in the Red/Blue Rescue team games, some dungeons like Wish Cave and Buried Relic allow the players to switch leaders mid-dungeon, while others like Murky Cave and Uproar Forest don't. I was about to add that for the dungeons which do myself, but this page is protected so I can't add to the template.

I should mention that this would only be for the Rescue Team games, as the Explorers game don't allow switching leaders at all, while the 3DS games always do as long as you're not playing the story. So anyway, is there anything we can do about this? Thanks. Unowninator (talk) 00:53, 5 August 2016 (UTC)

I'm not familiar with the Mystery Dungeon games, so I'm really not the person to ask. Try another staff member. Sorry I couldn't help. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 02:38, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
Okay, is there any particular one you know of that does? Unowninator (talk) 03:33, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
If Carmenstar97 doesn't mind me doing so, I'd suggest checking the pages for the games and see who is a frequent editor and staff member. You can see staff icons next to staff members in the histories. Of course, Carmenstar97 may know someone he can recommend, as well. CycloneGU (talk) 03:44, 5 August 2016 (UTC)

Camp Pokemon

Hey! So I was planning on adding Camp Pokemon to the side games location on each Pokemon. (I already have a list of the roughly 150 Pokemon in it) I was just wondering when it says color={{beauty color}}, what color would I use? IHHeroes (talk) 19:06, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

You already posted this on SnorlaxMonster's talk page. Please don't spam multiple staff talk pages seeking a quick answer. Contact one staff member and wait for a response. CycloneGU (talk) 19:10, 7 August 2016 (UTC)

Did I do something wrong?

You deleted one of my edits. Unowninator (talk) 03:00, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

I didn't "delete" your edit; I deleted your edit summary because it contained sensitive information regarding the requirements to become autoconfirmed. The requirements for any Bulbawiki are to be kept hidden to the public; we don't want even guesses of parts of the requirements out there for anyone to read. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 03:06, 29 August 2016 (UTC)
Oops; sorry. I won't be mentioning that again anytime soon. Unowninator (talk) 03:12, 29 August 2016 (UTC)

Looplet image linking

Hello Carmenstar. I noticed you're also Archives staff, so you might be the right person to make this offer you can't refuse:

Today, I've brought to you the brand new Move Archives Files technology. — The what? — The brand new Move Archives Files technology. You can move files on the Archives with it, in less than a blink of an eye. — On the Archives, you say? — Absolutely. Have you ever wondered why certain templates sometimes do not display the correct image although the image is present on the Archives? — ...You're right. They don't show up! — Or how you need to have a dedicated sprite parameter to make them show up? — I can see it; you need an extra param! How can we avoid all this? — Do you see that Glik proposed to move it to another location? — Absolutely. He sure did. — Now, listen: If I move it to the new location, the templates just begin to work. — They doooon't? — They do. And you also do not need an additional param. — I dooon't? Wow. — Also, have you noticed how fellow wiki editors continuously create new articles and add the current filename there? — Yes, they can really be suuuch a nuisance at times. — Absolutely. Now, if I move it now, these editors do not need to use the extra param for new articles... — ...And you do not need to correct them all as you would if you'd moved it in the future, right? — Exactly, now you got it! Isn't that great! — Absolutely. This Move Archives Files technology, it must be unaffordable. — Let me say you this: It's just some five minutes of work, that's all. Five minutes, then it's done. — Wow!

So, I hope that I conveyed that moving it now might not only make the template work on a number of pages, but also save you some effort when doing so (and me from adding the sprite param for new articles/info). If you decide not to move it for whatever reason (or not anytime soon), just let me know, then I can add the correct sprite param to the other pages to make them work. Thanks! The Damion Edit

I apologize for my behavior on re editing that there back then. I thought I'd give more clarification on his personality but I didn't mean to cause any trouble. Won't happen again. I'm new to this wiki and not too familiar with talk pages so I'll need to get used to this.-TheGreenBeetle.

New Editor (and I want to be a helpful contributing editor)

Carmen:

I am Zottffss, but I would be very happy if you called me Zott. I am a new editor of Bulbapedia and I want to learn a few tips on being a great Bulbapedia contributor.

Best of luck, Zottffss, aka Zott.

Also, what is a signature? I am very confused since I just joined this Bulbapedia and I don't want to make any mistakes on this. Zottffss (talk) 21:54, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

Hello, Zott, and welcome to Bulbapedia! Starting with the basics, it is a very good idea to read through all of the links in the welcome message located on your talk page. Additionally, all of the links on this page are very helpful to understanding the general way we do things here on Bulbapedia. Familiarizing yourself with our policies and procedures is an excellent start to becoming a great contributor. After doing that, you should be all ready to edit! You can look through articles pertaining to topics of your interest and edit them if you find areas where they can be improved. If you really want to help us out, take a look at our pages needing attention and improve those articles however you can. In particular, we have a lot of articles needing more information. All help is much appreciated, so do whatever you can!
A signature is what you use to sign your talk page comments so that anyone reading the talk page will know who is making a certain comment. You seem to have done this already, but anyways, we sign our talk page comments with four tildes ~~~~ at the end of each message. This produces our own personal signature with a time stamp immediately following it (the time is in UTC). By default, everyone's signature is just a link to their user page and user talk page. However, you can customize your signature in your preferences, as long as it follows our signature policy.
If you have any further questions, please don't be afraid to ask me or any other active member of staff. Remember to always follow the manual of style, and happy editing! --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 04:52, 29 September 2016 (UTC)

Speculation crackdown

Hi there, I see you're the most recent staff member to edit the S19 page, so I'm coming to you. Please let me know if you're not the right person to approach, so I can go to someone else with this.

The user Pikachuluckynumber25 has been repeatedly editing the page with speculation about the end of S19 and the start of the Sun & Moon series, despite being repeatedly told on their talk page that this is against our policy. Would it be possible for you or another staff member to intervene in this situation, please? Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 18:42, 5 October 2016 (UTC)

Pokémon Pages

Hello, there. Do you think you can make the pages for Jangmo-o and Type: Null's evolution forms please? Pictures are already uploaded in the archives site. Seabiscuit2020 (talk) 20:13, 13 October 2016 (UTC)

What?

Why did you change my last edit of XY137's page, when every other freaking page lists Clemont's Pokemon first? Clemont joined episodes before Serena did, so why should she be listed before him? Playerking95 (talk) 05:14, 16 October 2016 (UTC)

If every other page is listing Clemont's Pokémon as first, then those pages are going to have to be changed (do note that Clemont's Dedenne is the only Pokémon of his that is supposed to precede Serena's Pokémon). The order of Pokémon is supposed to follow the order set by the manual of style. If you have a problem with the manual of style itself, you can take it up with Pokemaster97. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 05:23, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
So does that mean I and other users have permission to change the other episode articles as well? And also, on a similar note, are characters like Sawyer and Alain more important than characters like Gym Leaders who have made like two appearances or so in the series? Because lately, pages have been changed where Gym Leaders and characters like Steven Stone are put before Alain and Shauna and such, but unlike the games, the anime have made recurring characters and rivals to be more important, so shouldn't the episode pages follow suit? Playerking95 (talk) 05:42, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, feel free to change the episode articles to reflect that. And rivals should precede Gym Leaders/Champions. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 05:49, 16 October 2016 (UTC)
Having talked with Playking95 I was wondering if characters like Team Flare Grunts should be kept with the other Team Flare members or put below named characters.--Rahl (talk) 18:36, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
They should go below named characters. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 22:03, 21 October 2016 (UTC)
Even if that means splitting up a group of people, like villain grunts from notable villain members? Playerking95 (talk) 03:29, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
Yes. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 03:33, 22 October 2016 (UTC)

By Previous Generation

I'm so sorry, I just now got the first message after finishing Ivysaur- I'd always wanted that as a feature when looking up generation II movesets, but I didn't realize that it had already been established that doing that was not allowed. Sorry for my ignorance...Tjallan53149 (talk) 04:30, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

That's alright, no worries. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 04:32, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

Greninja

Hi there. I think it's time to add Greninja's biography from XY139 and XY140 to the Ash's Greninja page. And since it was released, I don't think we need the Poké Ball image anymore. Seabiscuit2020 (talk) 03:23, 29 October 2016 (UTC)

Physical/special split

Hi there. I saw this edit of yours, and my personal opinion is that we need not include any mention of a move changing category between Gen III and IV for move pages (note that we do have it at list of modified moves). Anyway, Lino49 apparently thinks we should include it, and has done so at Fire Punch, Silver Wind, and Shadow Ball as well, where neither you nor other staff have removed that (same/similar for Bite, where it's been mentioned for longer). For me as an ordinary editor, I don't know what the right procedure would be — after all, it's well-intentioned edits and still some kind of subjective thing. I guess it should at least be consistent, so I'm coming to you hoping you would know what to do. Thanks. Nescientist (talk) 13:28, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

We don't need to mention it on the move pages; in Generations I through III, move categories weren't exactly a property of the moves themselves, but rather of the types. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 13:39, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
Thank you, now I know the two of us agree. Anyway, would you be able to know what to do (or do that), please? Nescientist (talk) 13:50, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
The move pages should be restored to however they would be without the move category "change" note. I'd leave a talk page message to Lino49 about it, as well, but if you don't feel up to it I'll do it in a few hours when I get home. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 14:24, 6 November 2016 (UTC)
Yes, if you could do that, that'd be great (because it's technically a decision I guess). If I'm still around then, I would be going for the articles. Thanks! Nescientist (talk) 14:48, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

One thing to help me with

Now that my disambiguation page creation is complete the numbering on 721 (000) needs to be moved to 802. Do you know if you could help me with that? -Tyler53841 (talk) 03:11, 4 December 2016 (UTC)

That requires an update to Template:NumberPrevNext, which is used on (now) 803 pages. We prefer not to update such high-use templates until low-traffic times (since it'll probably crash the server for a good few minutes), so an update will have to wait. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 03:28, 4 December 2016 (UTC)
All right, I'll leave it you or another administrator when the time comes. -Tyler53841 (talk) 03:32, 4 December 2016 (UTC)

Learnset edits?

Hello, I've noticed you've been adding type information back into the wikicode for all the learnset sections on move pages. However, I am not seeing any change to the page itself when this happens, and I can't help but wonder--just what are you doing? Not meaning to criticize or anything, just genuinely curious. I don't know too much about how the wiki works, or how any of these templates are used. Xolroc (talk) 03:40, 23 December 2016 (UTC)

I'm updating the move pages in order to prepare for a template update. Currently, you can't see the types displayed on the page because the relevant templates haven't been updated yet. Once all the pages are updated, the template will be updated. If the template were updated before the pages were updated, you would just see a bunch of "Unknown" types or something on the move pages, but if the pages are all prepared before a template update, then once the templates have been updated, the correct types will display instantly. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 03:44, 23 December 2016 (UTC)
Ah, I see! I figured it was probably something along those lines. Makes sense. Xolroc (talk) 03:51, 23 December 2016 (UTC)

Z-Move templates

I didn't know that there was a staff decision about this subject, and I'm honestly surprised about this. I figured that improvised moves need a description, sure, since they naturally don't have pages of their own, but Z-Moves, on the other hand, DO have their own pages, where the anime description can be put into. My thought was to use a similar style as with the moves used via Metronome/Mimic/etc. in the anime, which also use regular move templates, but apparently that's not the case with Z-Moves. Can this be changed? --FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 16:20, 2 January 2017 (UTC)

The current setup was decided by our Head of Anime and Kogoro. We haven't seen Z-Moves being used much in the anime yet, so what we're currently using is subject to change depending on how Z-Moves are treated as the Sun & Moon series moves along. If you have any suggestions for how we should display Z-Moves in the anime, please share them with Pokemaster97. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 16:39, 2 January 2017 (UTC)

Ash-Greninja's gender ratio

Hello Carmen, I'm sorry about iremoving Ash-Greninja, I thought it was the same thing as Greninja

Desweet12 - unsigned comment from Desweet12 (talkcontribs)

That's alright; as long as you're aware now. Just a tip for the future: if you notice that an edit of yours keeps getting reverted, don't just simply redo it; that is considered edit warring and is grounds for a short block. Instead of edit warring, you can ask why your edit is continually being reverted either on the talk page of the article or on the talk page of the user who reverted your edit. Please keep this in mind when editing in the future. Thanks. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 02:57, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

User:Poképowder

I just noticed that User:Poképowder's recent contributions look almost word-for-word identical to those of Thesaurus several months ago, down to the absence of all intervening edits. Therefore, I suspect this may be a sockpuppet user, so I wanted to alert a staff member. Thanks for your time. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:51, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

I am aware and have brought it up with other staff members. It will be dealt with when an administrator becomes available. Thanks for the concern. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 19:56, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
Looking at these edits myself, they seem like reasonable things to add. A description of the character's appearance would be useful to vision-impaired users, after all. The user's behaviour, on the other hand, is not acceptable; edit warring is explicitly not allowed and I want to make it clear I am defending the content the user is adding, not the manner in which they are going about doing it. Xolroc (talk) 19:59, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
I wouldn't call making things up "reasonable". Plenty of what this user is adding just plain isn't real. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 20:02, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
I was referring specifically to the ones that describe the characters' outfits. I looked more closely at some of them and yes, some of that is just vandalism. Xolroc (talk) 20:04, 8 January 2017 (UTC)
Actually, I should have looked more closely. Even the outfit ones are made up. Though the idea of adding a simple (and correct) visual description is still one I feel has merit. Xolroc (talk) 20:07, 8 January 2017 (UTC)

Why would you delete my n2num thing?

Well, technically it isn't deleted yet, but still, what's wrong with a lowercase one? Unowninator (talk) 18:51, 10 May 2017 (UTC)

First of all...you don't just duplicate any page. There's absolutely no logical reason to do that. The reasoning "it was annoying me" isn't a valid one at all. Second...the {{N2Num}} template is in the template namespace. You created the new page in the mainspace, making it so that any casual reader can access just by clicking the Random page link in the sidebar. Third...a lowercase version isn't necessary. That is all. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 19:01, 10 May 2017 (UTC)

About the template I made

My apologies for not following protocol. I was unaware of a specific policy concerning permission for creating templates, and I didn't think that this addition was particularly controversial. Anyway, to that end, I'd like to see to it that the template is moved back to my userspace while approval is pending. (And please let me know how I should go about obtaining that approval.) Thank you!

Haddady ~Straight Outta the Bag~ 18:33, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

The template was indeed moved back to your userspace. In general, in order to obtain approval for mainspacing a template, you add {{mainspace|template|status=complete}} to the top of the template (inside noinclude brackets, of course). This will add it to Templates for mainspacing. (If you're not quite done setting up the template, then add {{mainspace|template}} instead to place it in Templates for mainspacing/Under construction.) You should also show examples of the template being used on the talk page of the template so that the staff can see how you plan to implement it and what it will look like when used. When you think you're all set, you can try contacting a staff member on their talk page to let them know you want your template to be mainspaced.
Now, as for this specific template, I'd say it would be better to just place the entire table hard-coded on the page itself instead of using a template for it. We rarely make templates that will only be used on one page, and when we do, it's because there's a lot of data involved. This is not a case that needs a template. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 19:02, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
Thank you for responding. I'll be sure to follow those steps the next time I'm preparing a template for the mainspace, and I suppose I'll just code the table into the article like you suggested. Should I go ahead and delete the mainspace template page, or leave it to someone else?
Haddady ~Straight Outta the Bag~ 20:24, 20 June 2017 (UTC)
The redirect is already marked for deletion. If you want your userspace template to be deleted as well, just add {{delete}} to the page and an administrator will delete it for you. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 20:29, 20 June 2017 (UTC)

Looking For Help

So, my User Page has been blocked for seven years now and I recently found out I'm under the 'abuse user group'. I was told that I should 'talk to an admin about having that repealed', so... here I am. Thank you in advance for any help you can offer. Pikatwig (talk) 13:58, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

You just asked two other staff members about this not even 12 hours ago...I suggest you wait for a response from either of them for at least a few days before nudging other staff members. Additionally, only Senior Administrators and above can put you out of the abuse user group, so I wouldn't be able to do anything about that, anyways. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 14:24, 16 July 2017 (UTC)
Alright. Thanks anyway and sorry for bothering you. Pikatwig (talk) 14:45, 16 July 2017 (UTC)

Wrong image for Mightyena

The image on Mightyena's page is incorrect. Someone edited its nose to be black when the official art is red. Can we change the artwork back to a previous version?

Moving of epicode numbers

Hi Carmenstar97, hope you are well! About a year ago you responded to my query on Talk:SS034 saying "Many of the special episodes are in plans to be moved, but the Editorial Board is still finalizing their decisions. Whenever those decisions are finalized, we'll be moving all of the episodes that need to be moved, including this one." Since then, I haven't seen any updates on this. Can you give any insights about where the Editorial Board discussions got to, and what is going to be done about this situation? Kidburla (talk) 23:06, 15 September 2017 (UTC)

No decision has been made yet, but my previous statement still stands: whenever it is finalized, the staff will take the appropriate actions to reflect that decision. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 19:36, 17 September 2017 (UTC)

The naming for the Rayquaza artwork files is incorrect;

Templates with missing params

Is it okay (or even intended) that some templates actually display the name of a param when it's missing? Do you prefer these kinds of template "fixes" over these, or the other way around, or do you have no preference? Nescientist (talk) 15:00, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

Parameter names shouldn't be displayed when they're missing. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 18:27, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
Well, I just told them very clearly, but they refuse to obey. Could you fix it please, such as by updating those two templates? (Those are the only ones I know off the top of my head; no idea how widespread it is for {{Chapterinfobox}}—those I checked tend to specify empty params if needed—, but {{Dungeon infobox}}'s monsterhouses breaks a few hundreds of pages, I believe.) SM moves images

Hey, I'd like to ask a question.

Across so many moves pages, I see a header that their images should be updated to match how they look in Pokémon Sun & Moon. My question is, would it be okay if the image came from a non-English game (like a French one) ? -- N_tonio36Talk here 19:17, 29 October 2017 (UTC)

It should be fine; I don't believe the animations are different, and the only moves that would show text are the Z-Moves, which have already been uploaded. However, please obtain permission from a member of the Archives Advisory Council before uploading any Sun and Moon screenshots (or screenshots from any 3DS game). Thanks! --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 01:03, 30 October 2017 (UTC)

I'm currently shiny hunting in Ultra Moon and, while hunting for Furfrou in Hau'oli City, have found out that the move Baby-Doll Eyes ignores my Hawlucha's substitute. Baby-Doll Eyes, however, is not listed as a move that ignores Substitute in the latter's article. The same happens with Sweet Scent, which I noted while hunting Fomantis.

I hope this is useful and someone can edit it. I was going to try and do it myself, but it wasn't as easy as I hoped, so I decided to touch nothing.

Have a nice day,

Raul. - unsigned comment from Rmllavaneras (talkcontribs)

I've been unable to replicate this, so I can't verify that your claims are true. When I had a wild Pokémon use Baby-Doll Eyes or Sweet Scent against my Pokémon's substitute, the game simply says that the move didn't affect my Pokémon.
Also, please make sure you sign any future talk page comments you make with four tildes (~~~~). This creates a link to your user page and talk page after your comments, making it easier to see who's making the talk page comment. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 02:05, 4 April 2018 (UTC)

Upon noticing Furfrou's moves, I realized that it was Growl (a sound based move) causing my defense drops. I apologize for wasting your time.

Yours truly,

Request to review Korean romaja and Chinese pinyin in a draft article in my userspace

I compiled a list of common phrases from fortune-teller tents (Festival Plaza) in other languages as a draft article in my userspace, and I need someone fluent in Chinese who can review the pinyin I have in that list and make any corrections there. According to the Staff page, you have an native-level knowledge of Chinese (zh-N), so maybe you could help me here in case 超龍Chao cannot.

Also, your userpage says you have a basic-level knowledge of Korean (ko-1), so maybe I could also ask if you could review the romaja in my draft article above and make any corrections there (because, honestly, I do not trust Google Translate’s romanization of Korean). Thankee! --SilSinn (TIDs: 768426S, 123446UM) (talk) 10:18, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

Not that I'm unwilling to help, but...I (personally) don't see the value/potential for this page in being mainspaced, especially since it's just a list of phrases and we do have some sort of a minimum standard for the importance of subjects that would get their own "in other languages" article. If you've gotten this page approved for mainspacing, however, then I'd be happy to help out. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 20:53, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
I don't think it needs to be mainspaced in order for other people to make changes to it. After all, before I request it to be mainspaced, I was thinking of doing a simpler list (the phrases in English only) with the tents required to unlock them, their unlock rates, and their game/character origins -- effectively, an English version of this 52poké list which might have more priority for mainspacing. --SilSinn (TIDs: 768426S, 123446UM) (talk) 21:35, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
It's not that I'm hesitant to edit a page in another user's userspace. I just don't see the point in devoting time to working on something which (I personally think) isn't likely to find its way to the mainspace—this case being the list of a bunch of phrases in various languages; I just don't see the value of having them on Bulbapedia. I feel like the simpler list in English with the unlock requirements and such is sufficient for Bulbapedia's purposes, if you wanted to work on that instead. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 22:09, 3 January 2019 (UTC)

Can you clean this of the shit I've spouted please?

Pokémon Sword and Shield page

If you're going to suggest that I not make articles with no content, how is it okay for you to just create new sections on a page with absolutely no content? I can't add that because the page is protected. Tag365 (talk) 13:50, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Can you explain what you mean? I'm not sure what you're referring to. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 13:51, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Update Legendary Pokémon template

Are you supposed to update Legendary Pokémon template now that the first legendary Pokémon for Generation VIII is introduced? Tag365 (talk) 14:16, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Yes; thanks for reminding me. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 14:20, 5 June 2019 (UTC)

Changing usernames

Hello there! So I took a look at Bulbapedia's username policy, and I still have questions on usernames, namely do I just message editorial board members, or is there a specific place to change one's name? Sir Cookie (talk) 00:42, 19 June 2019 (UTC)

Hello! Not sure if you've gotten your answer already but...you'd have to ask an editorial board member to change your username for you. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 21:38, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

Project Pokédex

Hello Carmen. I am a new editor here on Bulbapedia, although I have used the site regularly for many years. I would like to help write articles for the new Pokémon and locations which will shortly be introduced in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. However, I am unsure as to where to find certain information that is included in Pokémon articles. For example, how do Bulbapedia editors get accurate data on each Pokémon's base stats, move sets, game locations, egg group, hatch time, EV yield, evolution method (etc.) to include in the articles? I understand that some of this information would be contained within the official Pokédex book for each new generation; however, these books are not released for several weeks after the games. I would appreciate it if you'd be able to enlighten me about all this!

Also, I am asking you this question because I found your name in the contacts section of the Bulbapedia:Project Pokédex page. Sorry in advance if you're not the right person for me to be asking these questions! ChocolateTrain (talk) 05:17, 14 November 2019 (UTC)

Hi, sorry for the late response. I'm not too updated on Sword and Shield, but usually new game info is retrieved from data mining. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 21:38, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

Image upload

Hello, Carmen! I'm new to Bulbapedia's editing, despite being a lurker for over 10 years now. I'm very intricate in my knowledge about the games and anime, and would love to add any nitty gritty details here and there. I'd like to see if it's possible to upload an image to add for the Anime character recycling page. I have the photo needed. The file name should be otane-look-alike.png, as she is a look alike to Otane.

I'm not sure if only admins can upload images, but it looks to be that way. Can you upload it for me?

--Techno (talk) 06:12, 6 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi, Techno! Regular users can upload images after being autoconfirmed; see here for how to become autoconfirmed. If you would still like me to upload the image for you, please let me know what episode that image is from! --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 21:38, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

How did you do it

May i know how did you set this design,i.e Evees' directing to your pages. May I copy some of your usertags, i am a newbie and don't know how to do it. I just copied some examples on to userpage for the tags, please. Dhiwakar (talk) 14:35, 8 February 2020 (UTC)

Feel free to use the code on my pages for your reference! --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 21:38, 23 March 2020 (UTC)

Bulbapedia Rework

Hello, Carmenstar97.

My name is Xeraphyy. Last month, a tweet was made announcing that Bulbapedia was going through some site upgrades. The link to the tweet is below.

https://twitter.com/Bulbapedia/status/1228458215324545024

I was wondering if the site upgrades are still continuing. Do you know of the status of the rework? Please get back to me when you can. Xeraphyy (talk) 04:19, 20 March 2020 (UTC)

Hi Xeraphyy--from what I know, the upgrades haven't been fully completed yet. --Carmen (Talk | contribs) 21:38, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
