Fiery Path (Japanese: 炎の抜け道 Fiery Path) is an underground route which travels though Mt. Chimney. At first, Trainers will need to go through it to get to Route 113 and Fallarbor Town because they lack the Go-Goggles needed to pass by Route 111's desert. Later, players may return with HM04 (Strength) to find rare items, and in Generation VI, an entrance to a Secret Base.

Appearance
In the anime
The Fiery Path appeared in the beginning of Game Winning Assist. Ash and his friends tried to use it as a shortcut on their way to Lavaridge Town. However, they ended up angering a group of wild Slugma when May's Skitty let itself out of its Poké Ball and attacked them. The group barely managed to escape the pack of angry Fire types when Ash had Pikachu use Iron Tail on a crack on the wall, opening up a way to the outside.
