Pokémon Horizons: The Series

Poppy debuted in HZ046, watching the battle between Liko and Ann at Naranja Academy.

In HZ055, Poppy faced Dot and Iono in the Elite Four Tag Battle. Using her Copperajah and Tinkaton, she went up against Dot's Quaxly and Iono's Bellibolt, only to lose by default when Copperajah was defeated by Bellibolt. After the battle, Poppy encouraged Dot not to look down on herself despite Iono doing most of the work to win the battle, and for Dot to have more self confidence in herself as a Trainer.

In HZ067, Poppy met up with Dot after the school tournament and encouraged her on her future progress as a Trainer.

Character

Poppy has a bright and cheerful personality, being very friendly and sociable to people she meets. She is also humble in defeat, and is kind and encouraging towards opponents such as when she encouraged Dot to have more self confidence as a Trainer. Despite being a young child, Poppy's skills as a Steel-type Trainer earned her title as one of Paldea's Elite Four. In battle Poppy's personality slightly changes as she becomes more excited and ruthless, not holding back against opponents, she also likes to use weather conditions to her advantage.

Tinkie (Japanese: デカヌちゃん Dekanu-chan) is Poppy's first known Pokémon. She was used alongside Copperajah in her battle against Dot and Iono, where she battled against Dot's Quaxly and Iono's Bellibolt.

Tinkie's known moves are Gigaton Hammer, Brick Break, and Rock Smash.

Rajah (Japanese: ダイオウちゃん Daiou-chan) is Poppy's second known Pokémon. It was used alongside Tinkaton in her battle against Dot and Iono, where it battled against Dot's Quaxly and Iono's Bellibolt, only to be defeated by the latter.

Rajah's known moves are Sandstorm and Rock Slide.

Poppy was introduced as a Supporter card in the Pokémon Trading Card Game during the English Scarlet & Violet Series (the Japanese Scarlet & Violet Era). It was first released in the Japanese Ruler of the Black Flame expansion and the English Obsidian Flames expansion, with artwork by yuu. An ultra rare version with artwork by the same illustrator and a special illustration rare version of the card with artwork by Ryota Murayama were released in the same sets. It allows players to move up to 2 Energy from one of their Pokémon and attach them to another of their Pokémon.
