u is a dual-type Fire/Flying Glitch Pokémon. It is also known as "Glitchy Charizard" because of it being a hybrid of Charizard. u can only be found in the Yellow Version by Method #3 of the Mew glitch using a Pokémon with a special stat of 199. It is a hybrid of Charizard and like Charizard, u is of Fire/Flying-type and its Pokédex number is #006. When players enter a battle with it, the game itself slows down.

In the Red/Blue versions, it is difficult to obtain a Pokémon using the Mew glitch that has a special stat of 199 (the game usually freezes). The Red/Blue equivalent of u is p T, and the easiest way for a Red/Blue player to get a p T is to have a u traded to them.

Due to u being a hybrid of Charizard, it may on occasion use Charizard's sprite.
