In the games
In Pokémon Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald
In Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, there is a Contest Hall for each of the four Contest ranks. In these halls, there is one reception counter (two in the Lilycove City Contest Hall) and Berry Blenders for making Pokéblocks. There are also photo frames for the winning Pokémon. The following is a list of locations that have a Contest Hall and the rank they hold:
| Location | Rank |
|---|---|
| Verdanturf Town | Normal Rank |
| Fallarbor Town | Super Rank |
| Slateport City | Hyper Rank |
| Lilycove City | Master Rank |
In Pokémon Emerald, all Contests take place in Lilycove City, as the halls of Verdanturf Town, Fallarbor Town and Slateport City were replaced by Battle Tents.
In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl and Platinum
In Pokémon Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum, all Super Contests are at the Contest Hall in Hearthome City. In addition to the traditional reception counter, two counters can be found in this hall: one for linked Super Contests and another for practice sessions. The Berry Blenders are gone, as Pokéblocks are replaced by Poffins.
During their first visit to the hall, players will receive an Accessory and a tuxedo or dress (dependent on gender) from the Super Contest Judge Keira and the Master Rank Coordinator Johanna, respectively. Another Super Contest Judge, Jordan, gives the players a Mild Poffin (level 60, smooth 40) after they have obtained the Poffin Case.
In the anime
Contest Halls are large and colorful buildings where Pokémon Contests are held. They also serve as venues for other events (for example, the Hearthome Collection was held at the Hearthome City Contest Hall). Contest Halls are also where Pokémon Coordinators get their Contest Passes. The following is a list of locations that have a Contest Hall in the anime:
