Solidad (Japanese: サオリ Saori) is a Pokémon Coordinator from Pewter City who competed against May in the Kanto Grand Festival, which she won. She is voiced by 田中理恵 Rie Tanaka in Japanese, Sarah Natochenny in English, Cristina Hernández in Latin American Spanish and Gilmara Sanches in Brazilian Portuguese.
She first appears in May, We Harley Drew'd Ya, and is already acquainted with Brock (both of them are from Pewter City), Drew, and Harley. She beat Drew's Roselia in his first Pokémon Contest, which caused him to cry. Since then they seem to have become friends. In an interesting comparison, May also cried after being defeated by Solidad.
Solidad is mature, wise, and has both May and Drew in quite high esteem. She was last known to be traveling in Johto and in DP078 made a cameo appearance along with Harley and Drew, watching May perform at the Wallace Cup.

- The official website for Cartoon Network initially called Solidad "Samantha" in their summary for May, we Harley Drew'd Ya.
- Solidad owns three Pokémon that Ash has released: Pidgeot, Lapras and Butterfree, and possibly one Pokémon that Jessie released, Shellder, which is possibly attached to her Slowbro.
