Trevor (Japanese: トロバ Trova) is a recurring character in the Pokémon anime who first appeared in Summer of Discovery!. He is a Pokémon Trainer and photographer from Lumiose City.

History

Shauna, Trevor, and Tierno with their Pokémon

Trevor first appeared in Summer of Discovery! along with Shauna and Tierno, and his Charmander.

After Ash and his friends saw the complete Kanto starters trio, Trevor came down from the stairs, exhausted from chasing Charmander. Later, he had a battle with Clemont and his Chespin. The battle didn't continue after Chespin was accidentally burned by Charmander.

In Day Three Blockbusters!, Trevor fished a Wailord during the fishing competition which gave his team the win. He was also in a Pokévision video along with his teammates but did not win.

In Foggy Pokémon Orienteering!, Trevor along with Team Squirtle and their rival team, Team Froakie, put aside their differences to find Bonnie and Pikachu.

In Battling Into the Hall of Fame!, he had a Team Battle with Ash, Serena, and Clemont. Despite putting up a great fight, Trevor was the first one to get defeated and then Shauna and Tierno got defeated afterwards.

Trevor appeared again in Performing with Fiery Charm! where he watched Serena competing in the Dendemille Town Rookie Class Pokémon Showcase along with Tierno and Shauna.

Trevor appeared again in A Legendary Photo Op!, where he met up with Ash and his friends in Mt. Molteau. He tried getting Charmeleon to calm down but didn't work. He then battled Ash and lost. He revealed to the group that he sought out to take a picture of the Legendary Moltres, as he was able to get Articuno and Zapdos. He showed them pictures of Pokémon that were different than normal, such as Scatterbug's hair length. Trevor and the group conducted their search on Mt. Molteau. Along the way, he got distracted by a Crustle. He eventually found Moltres at the top of Mt. Molteau when the battle with Team Rocket disturbed it. He and the group took cover when Moltres was attacking them. Trevor then witnessed Ash's Fletchinder evolve into Talonflame in an attempt to protect the group. After leaving Mt. Molteau, Trevor revealed that he succeeded in getting Moltres's picture and waved his farewells to Ash and his friends.

Trevor appeared briefly in Tag Team Battle Inspiration!, where he was seen taking a picture of a wild Lairon.

Trevor made a brief appearance in Master Class is in Session! and Performing a Pathway to the Future!, watching the Gloire Master Class Showcase on television along with Tierno.

Trevor will reappear in XY125 where he will participate in the Lumiose Conference and battle Alain and then again in XY126.

Like in the games, his goal as a Trainer is to meet every Pokémon in the Pokédex as stated during his introduction. Throughout his journey, Trevor aims to take pictures of all the Pokémon he encounters. He is mostly interested in ones with differences in their features, however slight, as evidenced in A Legendary Photo Op!.

Charizard is the starter Pokémon Trevor received from Professor Sycamore. It is an energetic, if not hyperactive, Pokémon, who loves to battle. As a Charmander, it defeated Clemont's Chespin in a battle and was used again in the Triple Battle against Ash's Pikachu, Serena's Fennekin and Clemont's Chespin alongside Shauna's Bulbasaur and Tierno's Squirtle, where it lost to Pikachu.

It reappeared in A Legendary Photo Op! now as a Charmeleon where it was used in a battle against Ash's Fletchinder. Despite knowing powerful moves, it was easily defeated in battle. Later. Trevor uses Charmeleon in a tag battle alongside Ash's Fletchinder against Jessie's Gourgeist and James's Inkay, but the battle is interrupted when Moltres awakens. When the Legendary Pokémon gets out of control, Trevor sends Charmeleon to attack Moltres, but it proves to be ineffective.

It reappeared in Tag Team Battle Inspiration! alongside Trevor, while he took a picture of a wild Lairon.

Like Ash's Charmeleon, Charmeleon is very aggressive, coming to attack his own Trainer and even other Pokémon. However, during battles he accepts Trevor's commands and is also shown to have traits it had when it was a Charmander, such as its love for battling others to test its strength.

It reappeared in XY125, where it was revealed to have evolved. It battled Alain's Charizard during the Lumiose Conference and Mega Evolved into Mega Charizard Y. Despite putting up a good fight it lost.

Charmeleon's known moves are Fire Fang, Flame Charge, Flamethrower, Flame Burst, Fire Spin, Dragon Claw, Heat Wave and Dragon Tail, and its ability is Drought after it Mega Evolves.
