Trivia
- Gamageroge is the only Pokémon with a base stat total of 499.
Origin
Gamageroge appears to be a combination of a Surinam toad and a loudspeaker. The Surinam Toad is an aquatic amphibian whose backs are covered in pockets that hold its eggs, which may have inspired Gamageroge's spherical "speakers" on its body. Its Pokédex entry also mentions the fact that it creates vibrations underwater, also like the Surinam. The two bumps on its head may be based on the bells of a traditional alarm clock.
Name origin
Its name is likely a combination of 蟇 gama, meaing toad, and ゲロゲロ gerogero, the sound a frog makes.
