West Province (Area Three) (Japanese: 西３番エリア West - Area Three) is a grassy region in the West Province of the Paldea region that surrounds Medali. It connects to West Province (Area Two) in the west, West Province (Area One) in the south, Cascarrafa in the southwest, Casseroya Lake in the northwest, Glaseado Mountain in the northeast, and Dalizapa Passage, a subregion of Glaseado Mountain, in the east. The Zero Gate, which provides access to the Great Crater of Paldea, is located in this region.

Medali

Main article: Medali

The town of Medali is a settlement in the middle of the area. It is a fairly populated town that is located at the intersection of roads from the west, east, and north. It is home to the Medali Gym, led by the Gym Leader Larry.

Zero Gate

The entrance to the Zero Gate is located southeast of Medali, in the side of the mountainous wall of the Great Crater of Paldea.

Pokémon Adventures

West Province (Area Three) was first mentioned in PASV23, where Raifort asked Scarlet to meet her at a watchtower there. She arrived at the agreed meetup spot in the next chapter, where the two had a talk regarding the fact that Scarlet's attempt to pose as a student of Uva Academy had been exposed, meaning she couldn't return to the academy anymore, despite wanting to study the unique books and documents found there. Cassiopeia, who had been listening in on their conversation, contacted Scarlet that there is an academy student whom hardly anyone has seen, meaning Scarlet could impersonate said student if she wanted to get in and out of the academy. Hearing this, Scarlet promptly left, telling Raifort to wait for her report.
