We Will Be Heroes is the opening theme song for the English dub of The Rise of Darkrai and the eleventh season of Pokémon the Series, Pokémon: DP Battle Dimension. It was used from Tears For Fears! to Sleepless In Pre-Battle!. The opening animation is composed of clips from the eleventh Japanese opening Together, which was still the only Japanese Diamond & Pearl opening at the time, and from the first Japanese Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl ending By Your Side ~Hikari's Theme~, along with some select episode clips from the Battle Dimension season.

It was written by John Loeffler and David Wolfert. The opening used in the animated series episodes was sung by Kirsten Price, whereas the movie version was performed by John Loeffler.

• The clips featured in the intro are taken from the Pokémon the Series: Diamond and Pearl episodes Tears For Fears!, Throwing the Track Switch, The Keystone Pops!, Bibarel Gnaws Best!, Nosing 'Round the Mountain!, and Journey to the Unown!.
  • Most of the clips used are from Tears For Fears! and Bibarel Gnaws Best!.
• The English, French, Danish, Hebrew, Russian, European Spanish, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, European Portuguese, Swedish, and German versions of this song are the first title song that is sung by a solo female.
  • The Latin American Spanish, Polish, Italian, Dutch, Brazilian, Finnish, Norwegian, and Czech versions of this song are sung by a male.
• It is the first dub opening to include opening credits. Diamond and Pearl did not include them on its initial TV airings, but DVD releases later included opening credits.
• It is the first animated series opening that was used in the movie corresponding to the season before its release.
• The end credit variant is used for the Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Hebrew, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Czech intros.
• Whilst all versions use the English logo, the French, Danish, Dutch, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Italian, Swedish, Iberian Spanish, Finnish, Norwegian, and German versions of the song all use the words "Battle Dimension" in English.
• The Russian version features voiceover credits for Hisao Shirai, Shinji Miyazaki and Norihiko Sudou. The logo is also translated via voiceover.
• As this was the first season not produced for a Mediaset network in Italy, this was also the first time that the Italian dub translated an English opening into Italian rather than using a specially-made intro sequence, as with Mediaset.
  • This is also the first time an Italian opening theme is not sung by Cristina D'Avena and Giorgio Vanni.
• On Cartoon Network India, this song was mistakenly used instead of the Hindi dubbed one, हम बनेंगे हीरोस. This error was continued from Our Cup Runneth Over! until Cream of the Croagunk Crop!.
• This is the first time the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu versions used a piece of original instrumental music for this song in the Disney India dubs, rather than dubbing over the instrumental used in the English version.
  • The end credits in those dubs, however, continue to have the instrumental used in the English version.
