(Japanese: 託された未来、この世界の輝き The Entrusted Future, the Shine of This World) is the 75th episode of Pokémon Horizons: The Series, and the 1,307th episode of the Pokémon animated series. It first aired in Japan on November 29, 2024.
Plot
By Liko's request, Rystal starts recounting the tale of the Explorers and Laqua, starting with how she had first met Lucius.
Running away from a group of thieves, Rystal and Terapagos are saved by Lucius, who scares the thieves away with Rayquaza. At the sight of Terapagos, Lucius becomes intrigued by it and notes that he's never seen one before, with Rystal revealing she had first met it within the Great Crater of Paldea, affectionately referring to it by the nickname "Pagogo". Later, Lucius shows Rystal the Scarlet Book and Heath's tale of meeting Terapagos, though Rystal still continues to refer to her partner by its nickname. When Lucius expresses his desire to find the mythical paradise Laqua, Rystal announces she'll join him on his adventure. During their journey, Lucius meets Arboliva, Galarian Moltres, Lapras, Kleavor, and Entei, which join him on his travels. When Lucius and Rystal stop in a town to ask people for information about Laqua, most of them chalk it off as a mere fairy tale. However, one man, Gibeon, has gathered plenty of data pertaining to Laqua and fully believes in its existence as well. Seeing a fellow person seeking Laqua, Lucius invites him to join them. Accompanied by Gibeon and his White Zygarde, the three adventures name themselves the Explorers and embark on a long adventure together, which ultimately leads to them finding Laqua.
In Laqua, the three Explorers find themselves surrounded by a paradise where many Pokémon, including Legendary Pokémon like Latias, Latios, and Terrakion, live in peaceful harmony. Interested to discover what has allowed this kind of place to become reality, they venture deeper into the paradise. The further they go, however, the more desolate and withered the landscape around them grows, until they ultimately discover a cluster of pink crystals, which Terapagos reacts aggressively towards. Examining the crystals, Gibeon can tell that they contain incredible amounts of energy. Lucius sees that while the crystals could be what has allowed Laqua to bloom, they can also be a burden to the paradise and declares that they're leaving Laqua, not wanting to risk causing anything dangerous by meddling with forces beyond natural laws. While he and Rystal return to the base camp, Gibeon, refusing to deny the existence of his discovery, starts excavating more of the crystals with Zygarde, causing quakes that attracts Lucius and Rystal back to the site. Gibeon is overjoyed by what he has discovered, even as a pink mist spreading out from the crystals starts causing trees to wither and wild Pokémon to go on feral rampages.
Fearing that these effects could threaten the entire world if allowed to spread, Lucius and his Pokémon rise to the occasion and try to stop the crystals, but nothing they do is able to contain them. Even as Zygarde rebels against its Trainer and attempts to contain the crystals with its Cells, reverting to its 10% Forme in the process, the endless power of the crystals continues to spread. A chasm opens beneath Gibeon's feet, and he plummets down before Lucius or Rystal can save him. Witnessing Lucius's determination, Rystal also refuses to give up. In response, Terapagos transforms into its Stellar Form, surrounds Lucius's Pokémon in balls of light, and rises to the sky with them, containing the area within a large energy dome. Lucius is caught within the dome, but he stays calm, promising that he will stay alive so that they can someday meet again in Laqua. He tells Rystal to leave and asks her to protect their future. Moments later, the crystals within the dome explode and cover everything within in their mist, scattering Lucius's Pokémon in the process. Terapagos, meanwhile, having expended all of its power, falls down before Rystal in its dormant jewel form.
Concluding her tale, Rystal recounts how she had subsequently left Laqua in order to protect Leila, whom she had been expecting at the time. Not wanting the tragedies that occurred in Laqua to happen again, she intends to tell her daughter nothing about Lucius. She doesn't feel the need to be remembered, just wanting Leila to live as a proof that she and Lucius did exist. Looking at Lucius's Pokémon, she apologizes for not being able to look for them, but is still glad that the Rising Volt Tacklers have managed to find them. Friede recounts how they've found them scattered around Kanto, Paldea, Galar, and Kitakami, while Liko assures that each of them had been cherishing Lucius's Ancient Poké Balls, still wanting to keep the promise they had made with him. Thinking back to all the visions of Lucius she's seen, Liko comes to understand that they must've been Terapagos's memories from when it and Rystal were traveling together with Lucius. Friede asks for Rystal to tell them where Laqua is, but unfortunately, she doesn't know, as they had been led there by Rayquaza and the others after being adrift at sea for several days, and on her journey back, she had been picked up by a large ship. She speculates that Gibeon could know where it is, but before Liko can tell her what happened to him, a shining light surrounds Rystal, signifying that her time in the future is coming to an end. She expresses her gratefulness at having gotten to see the future that Lucius wanted to protect and tells Liko to take care of Terapagos for her as its partner. With one final "thank you", she and Leila vanish back to where they came from.
Terapagos, saddened by Rystal's departure, starts to cry heartily, so Liko takes it into a comforting hug, promising to reach Laqua with it. Once Terapagos has stopped crying, it starts looking at Liko in a pleading way. Understanding what Terapagos wants, Friede hands Liko an empty Poké Ball. Feeling grateful for the chance of having gotten to meet Terapagos, Liko holds out the Poké Ball. Terapagos excitedly taps the ball and is sucked into it. A few shakes later, Terapagos has been officially caught. Liko lets the Tera Pokémon back out and happily embraces it, addressing it by the nickname that Rystal had given to it.
The next day, Diana announces that she'll be leaving. With what she learned last night, her adventures regarding the pendant have finally come to an end. She admits that she had genuinely not known of Lucius and Rystal being her grandparents, having never even learned Rystal's name before due to her having died young. Now she intends to travel wherever her heart takes her, though she does promise to come to the Rising Volt Tacklers' help if they ever happen to be in a pinch. Once Diana and her Arcanine have disappeared into the distance, Liko, her friends, and Friede set their sights on locating the last two members of the Six Heroes, Entei and the Black Rayquaza, in order to reach Laqua and see what it is like now. Trying to figure out how to find the two elusive Pokémon, Friede suddenly remembers a person who could possibly help them.
At the Exceed office building in Levincia, Chalce enters a dark room where Spinel is working on a computer. They've managed to keep their activities as a secret from Hamber, though they can't help but notice that Amethio has continued his own activities despite having been suspended from all missions. Spinel feels concerned about this, but remains determined on his goal, intending to be the one to reach Laqua alongside Gibeon.

- This is the first episode of Pokémon Horizons: The Series since the first to not have any eyecatches or bonus segments (in this case, Professor Friede's Pokémon Seminar).
- Similar to the first episode, the title text for this episode is shown directly over the background, without a separate title card segment. As such, the title is not read aloud.
- This is the first episode of the Pokémon animated series since Showdown at the Po-ké Corral to be storyboarded by the current director of the series which isn't the first or last episode of the series they direct. In this case, this episode is storyboarded by Saori Den, director of Pokémon Horizons: The Series.
- This episode features the first animated series appearance of Terrakion since its debut appearance in Kyurem VS. The Sword of Justice, over 12 years earlier.
