Ice Burn deals damage and has a 30% chance of burning the target.
Ice Burn does nothing on the turn it is selected, other than state that the user is cloaked in a freezing air. This charge turn can be skipped using a Power Herb. On the following turn, Ice Burn will deal damage, PP will be deducted from it, and it will count as the last move used. Once Ice Burn is selected, the user will not be able to switch out until it is disrupted or fully executed.
If Ice Burn is not fully executed, PP will not be deducted from it, and it will not count as the last move used. If the target uses Mirror Move during the turn that the user is charging, Mirror Move will copy the move that the user executed immediately before using Ice Burn (or fail if it cannot).
Sleep, freeze, and flinching will pause but not disrupt the duration of Ice Burn.
The turn after using this move, the user surrounds the target with an ultracold, freezing wind to inflict damage. This may also leave the target with a burn.
Bold indicates a Pokémon gains STAB from this move. Italics indicates a Pokémon whose Evolution or alternate form receives STAB from this move. A dash (−) indicates a Pokémon cannot learn the move by the designated method. An empty cell indicates a Pokémon that is unavailable in that game/generation.
Ice Burn gives the user the Ice Burn status condition for a turn, and will then unleash the move on the next turn, dealing damage to enemies in the same room. It may leave the target with a burn.
In Pokémon GO, Ice Burn is a Charged Attack that was made available on February 21, 2025. White Kyurem can only know this move if Kyurem knew Glaciate prior to fusion. Its Adventure Effect outside of battle will make it so the catch circle during encounters moves slower and Pokémon is easier to catch. This increased catch rate also includes accessory devices such as the Pokémon GO Plus. It costs 5,000 Stardust and 5 Kyurem Candy, and lasts 10 minutes.
Activation Condition: When your team's sync pair uses a sync move once.
Deactivation Condition: When this move is used.
The user gets ready to attack. Using this move again will cause the user to leave this posture, then attack. No other actions can be taken while ready to attack. The preparation period is skipped when the user's Special Moves ↑ Next effect is increased, and the user will attack right away. Never misses. Leaves the target burned.
Implements the following field effect just before the user's sync move is used the first time each battle. Extends the field effect duration only that time. • Ice Zone
It damages enemies in the same room. It could also cause the Burn status condition. With the Burn status, they keep taking damage, and their Attack also goes down slightly.
You'll get the Ice Burn status condition, which lets you charge power to damage enemies in the same room on the next turn. It could also leave them with a burn.

The user creates multiple beams of reddish-purple energy and fires it at opponents
White Kyurem's body glows orange and creates a circular reddish-purple aura around itself. It then releases multiple reddish-purple beams of energy at the opponent. When it hits the opponent, it freezes it.
Freeze Shock, a move variation of Ice Burn, likewise references Kyurem and Zekrom.
Ice Burn is tied with Freeze Shock for the highest base power of all Ice-type moves, excluding Z-Moves, Max Moves, and G-Max Moves.
A Subzero Slammer based on either of them has the highest base power of all Ice-type moves.
Ice Burn is the only Ice-type move that is able to cause burn, excluding Tri Attack and Secret Power that have been changed to Ice-type by Refrigerate.
The burn side-effect may be a reference to frostbite, which is similar to a burn.
It may also reference sodium acetate, which is commonly called "hot ice" due to its superficial similarities to ice but possesses hot temperatures due to the process of crystallization releasing heat.
Ice Burn and Freeze Shock are programmed into Pokémon Black and White, but were not legitimately usable prior to the release of Black 2 and White 2, in which a Smeargle that has Sketched the moves can be traded back to Black and White.
