Although not a cross-generational evolution, Tauros and Miltank have a cross-generational egg-hatching. A Miltank egg (or an egg from Tauros and {{p|Ditto}}) has a 50% chance of being either Tauros or Miltank, so a Tauros could hatch from a Miltank's egg, without necessarily having a Tauros as its father.

This is a list of Pokémon that, when evolving, turn into a Pokémon from a different generation of Pokémon, for example, Pichu, a Generation II Pokémon, evolves into Pikachu, a Generation I Pokémon.

A few of these Pokémon, as a result of new evolutions, become branch-evolution Pokémon. Those Pokémon which evolve into a Pokémon of a previous generation, instead of from it, are specifically baby Pokémon.
