Ransei (Japanese: ランセ地方 Ranse-chihō) is the name of the region that appears in the game Pokémon Conquest. It is said to be similar to feudal Japan. The region is divided into 17 nations, each with its own castle.

History

The region of Ransei is said to have been created by a Legendary Pokémon, which the shape of the region itself resembles.


Nations

Hajime

Leader: Player
Pokémon: Eevee

Hajime (Japanese: ハジメの国 Beginning Nation) is the kingdom under the leadership of the player, and where the game begins. In the middle of the southern part of the southwestern peninsula of Ransei, it is home to many Normal-type Pokémon.

Kaen

Leader: Toyotomi Hideyoshi
Pokémon: Monferno

Kaen (Japanese: カエンの国 Blazing Nation) is the kingdom immediately to the north of Hajime, in an area surrounded by mountains full of active volcanoes. Led by Hideyoshi, it has an abundance of Fire-type Pokémon.

Aoba

Leader: Mōri Motonari
Pokémon: Servine

Aoba (Japanese: アオバの国 Fresh Leaves Nation) sits on the southwestern-most coast of the Ransei region. It is surrounded by lush plains, and the castle sits inside a dome like a massive greenhouse. The kingdom's leader is Motonari, and is full of Grass-type Pokémon.

Fontaine

Leader: Chōsokabe Motochika
Pokémon: Dewott

Fontaine (Japanese: イズミの国 Fountain Nation) is a Water-type kingdom on the eastern side of the southwestern peninsula of Ransei. It is a land full of rivers, streams, and waterfalls, and its leader is Motochika.

Kobushi

Leader: Shimazu Yoshihiro
Pokémon: Gurdurr

Kobushi (Japanese: コブシの国 Fist Nation) is located on a flat plain in the western half of the central part of Ransei, and is led by Yoshihiro. Its castle resembles a stadium or colosseum, and Fighting-type Pokémon are common here.

Shiden

Leader: Tachibana Ginchiyo
Pokémon: Luxio

Shiden (Japanese: シデンの国 Purple Lightning Nation) sits in the middle of Ransei's western coast, and is full of tall spires that spark with electricity. Electric-type Pokémon can be found here, and its leader is Ginchiyo.

Sanagi

Leader: Imagawa Yoshimoto
Pokémon: Pineco

Sanagi (Japanese: サナギの国 Pupa Nation) is the western-most kingdom of Ransei. Yoshimoto is the leader, and its garden-like fields and castle are filled with Bug-type Pokémon.

Daichi

Leader: Takeda Shingen
Pokémon: Groudon

Daichi (Japanese: ダイチの国 Earth Nation) encompasses a vast, arid plain that makes up the southern half of the middle of Ransei. Most Pokémon here are Ground type, and the leader is Shingen.

Genmu

Leader: Uesugi Kenshin
Pokémon: Mewtwo

Genmu (Japanese: ゲンムの国 Vision Nation) occupies the northern half of the middle of Ransei. Led by Kenshin, Psychic-type Pokémon can be found in the mystical-looking floating rock formations here.

Kigan

Leader: Hōjō Ujiyasu
Pokémon: Gigalith

Kigan (Japanese: キガンの国 Strange Rock Nation) is led by Ujiyasu, and is located in the center of the southeastern peninsula of Ransei. Full of stony mountains, Rock-type Pokémon are common here.

Dokuga

Leader: Nene
Pokémon: Crobat

Kigan (Japanese: ドクガの国 Poison Fang Nation) can be found in the middle of the eastern coast of Ransei, in land full of misty bogs. Its leader is Nene, and it is home to Poison-type Pokémon.

Yasha

Leader: Fūma Kotarō
Pokémon: Zoroark

Yasha (Japanese: ヤシャの国 Yaksha Nation) occupies a shadowy corner of the southern-most tip of Ransei's southeastern peninsula, and is under the leadership of Kotarō. Dark-type Pokémon can be found here.

Tsubasa

Leader: Date Masamune
Pokémon: Braviary

Tsubasa (Japanese: ツバサの国 Wing Nation) is at the base of the northeastern peninsula of Ransei. Masamune leads the kingdom from a castle that towers above the clouds, and Flying-type Pokémon can be found here in abundance.

Fukutsu

Leader: Tokugawa Ieyasu
Pokémon: Aggron

Fukutsu (Japanese: フクツの国 Indomitable Nation) features an imposing, iron and steel castle overlooking the southwestern edge of Ransei's northeastern peninsula. Its leader is Ieyasu, and is occupied by Steel-type Pokémon.

Mitama

Leader: Nōhime
Pokémon: Mismagius

Mitama (Japanese: ミタマの国 Spirit Nation) is found on the northeastern-most coast of Ransei. Nōhime is the leader of the dimly-lit castle surrounded by spooky floating lights and flames. Ghost-type Pokémon are commonly found here.

Fubiki

Leader: Akechi Mitsuhide
Pokémon: Articuno

Fubiki (Japanese: フブキの国 Blizzard Nation) castle sits on the heights of an icy mountain range at the very north of Ransei, and is led by Mitsuhide. It is home to many Ice-type Pokémon.

Ryū

Leader: Oda Nobunaga
Pokémon: Zekrom

Ryū (Japanese: リュウの国 Dragon Nation) is located amongst the tall mountains in the middle of Ransei's northeastern peninsula. Nobunaga rules the castle with his Dragon-type Pokémon.

Trivia

  • The shape of the Ransei region resembles the Pokémon Arceus, which also plays an important role in the game's storyline.
