Assurance (Japanese: ダメおし Make Sure) is a damage-dealing Dark-type move introduced in Generation IV.
Effect
Generations IV and V
Assurance inflicts damage and will deal double damage if the target has already received damage on the turn it is used. This includes self-inflicted and indirect damage, such as damage from a Life Orb, recoil damage from Brave Bird, or confusion damage.
Generation VI
Assurance's power changed from 50 to 60.
