Dynamax Bands first appeared in Flash of the Titans!, under the possession of Lance and Leon. Lance used his Dynamax Band to Dynamax his Gyarados during the World Coronation Series finals, while Leon used his own band to Gigantamax his Charizard.

A Dynamax Band belonging to Raihan appeared in Toughing It Out!. He uses it to Gigantamax his Duraludon.

In Sword and Shield: The Darkest Day!, Sonia fashioned a Wishing Star she and Goh had found into a Dynamax Band, which she gave to Goh. He later used it to Dynamax his Raboot in a battle against one of Oleana's subordinates, who had used his own Dynamax Band to Gigantamax his Garbodor.

In Ultra Exciting from the Shocking Start!, Bea was revealed to own a Dynamax Band. She was first seen using it in JN086, Gigantamaxing her Machamp during her third World Coronation Series battle against Ash.

Two Dynamax Bands first appeared in Zap!! A Rising Beam of Light, under the ownership of Henry and Casey, respectively. Henry was first seen using his Dynamax Band to catch a Gurdurr during a Max Raid Battle. In Ooh Shiny!! Legendary Equipment, it was revealed that these two Dynamax Bands had been made from Wishing Stars the two Pokédex holders had found a year earlier in the Slumbering Weald.

Like in the games, each Galar Gym Leader, excluding Piers, owns a Dynamax Band, which they use during Gym battles. The same also applies to Hop, Bede, and Marnie.
