Water Sport (Japanese: みずあそび Water Game) is a non-damaging Water-type move introduced in Generation III.

Effect

Generations III and IV

Water Sport reduces the base power of Fire-type moves by 50% on both sides in battle. The effects last until the user switches out.

Generation V

Water Sport now reduces the base power of Fire-type moves by 67% on both sides in battle.

Generation VI

Water Sport is now active for five turns, even if the user switches out.

Description

Games Description RSEColoXD The user becomes soaked to raise resistance to fire. FRLG Weakens Fire-type attacks while the user is in the battle. DPPtHGSS BWB2W2 The user soaks itself with water. The move weakens Fire-type moves while the user is in the battle. XYORAS The user soaks itself with water. This weakens Fire-type moves for five turns.
