Origin
Name origin
Tyrogue's name is a combination of tyke, meaning child, and rogue, one who is playfully mischievous. It is also possible that the first part of its name is derived from tyro, meaning a beginner, instead of tyke. Its Japanese name is probably a corruption of the English word bulky, an adjective describing something large for its weight.
