Levitate (Japanese: ふゆう Floating) is an ability introduced in Generation III. Thirty-three Pokémon have this ability naturally, most of them either Psychic- or Template:Type2s.
Effect
In battle
Levitate renders the user immune to Template:Type2 moves, Spikes, Toxic Spikes and Arena Trap.
Outside of battle
Levitate has no effect outside of battle.

Beedrill, Flying Pikachu, Clefairy, Clefable, Jigglypuff, Venomoth, Geodude, Magnemite, Magneton, Magnezone, Staryu, Starmie, Porygon, Porygon2, Porygon-Z, Dragonair, Mewtwo, Mew, Sunkern, Forretress, Dunsparce, Scizor, Heracross, Celebi, Dustox, Gardevoir, Meditite, Volbeat, Illumise, Castform, Shuppet, Banette, Glalie, Froslass, Luvdisc, Beldum, Metang, Metagross, Jirachi, Deoxys, Buizel, Garchomp, Probopass, Dusknoir, Dialga, Palkia, Darkrai, Munna, Musharna, Monmen, Erufuun, Desumasu, Cofagrigus, Yuniran, Daburan, Reuniclus, Vanipeti, Baniricchi, Baibanira, Goruugu, Ulgamoth and Genesect all share this trait.
- Shedinja also cannot have this ability, however, its Wonder Guard ability gives it immunity to Ground-type moves.
