Clobbopus (Japanese: タタッコ Tatakko) is a Fighting-type Pokémon introduced in Generation VIII.
It evolves into Grapploct when leveled up while knowing Taunt.
Biology
Clobbopus is a small, off-white cephalopod Pokémon with small, blue eyes with horizontal slit-shaped pupils, and an orange mask pattern around them. It has a rather large head with four orange spots on its forehead, and small, orange ears or siphon ports on each side. It has several small tentacles that it uses to get around, and two large tentacles that act as arms. Each of these large tentacles has an orange suction cup on the underside and large, indigo bumps on the end, with an orange suction cup that resembles boxing gloves. Its dot-like mouth is located underneath its tentacles.
Clobbopus has easily-torn off tentacles, which allow it to escape from predators; these tentacles can be regrown later. They have the intelligence of a three-year-old human. It is a very curious creature and often investigates things through punching them with its tentacles.

It's very curious, but its means of investigating things is to try to punch them with its tentacles. The search for food is what brings it onto land.

Shield
|
Its tentacles tear off easily, but it isn't alarmed when that happens—it knows they'll grow back. It's about as smart as a three-year-old.

Trivia
Origin
Clobbopus appears to be based on an octopus and a boxer. This connection may have been made from the observed behavior that octopuses supposedly enjoy "punching" fish unprovoked.[1]
Name origin
Clobbopus may be a combination of clobber and octopus.
Tatakko may be a combination of 叩く tataku (to strike), attack, 蛸 tako (octopus), and possibly 子 ko (child, referring to its childish mentality). It could also be a pun on 駄々っ子 dadakko (spoiled child), which is the name of its category in Japanese.
