This is a list of the teams of the rival in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. His first partner Pokémon depends on the player's choice (he will choose the one that is strong against the player's), while the remainder of his team will be filled out based on this choice.

First battle

Winning this battle is not mandatory. The player will not black out and the story will progress either way.

Bulbasaur If the player chose Bulbasaur:

Second battle (optional)

This battle is available until the player defeats Brock.

If the player reaches Lavender Town before fighting the rival here, this battle becomes unavailable.
