Call from big boss
Once you have taken down all three Rogue Mega Evolutions return to Hotel Z and Corbeau will call you. He tells you that your first job for the Rust Syndicate will be battling some people he calls troublemakers. Head to the location near Café Soleil, and the resident will tell you that the building has been taken over by squatters. Go inside to see what’s going on.
Inside the building you’ll see that these troublemakers are a group of Gengar and Gastly. You don’t have to battle them, you can simply catch them to finish the request. In fact, this is a great place to catch Gengar as it’s a trade evolution and a fantastic Mega Pokémon. Once you’ve caught or defeated all three speak to the resident again. Corbeau will then come by to check in on you. He asks you to help out another one of his people.
Sewer diving
Meet the grunt by the riverbank and follow her into the sewers. She wants you to destroy all of the Mega Crystals you find down there, but is happy for you to keep the shards. You might want to purchase the Canari charm and spend all of your current shards before taking this on. A Pokémon with four damaging moves and a mix of range and area attacks is best. You can also find TM095 Taunt in the room at the far end of the sewers.
Once you’ve cleaned up the sewers, Corbeau will be there again to meet you outside. Corbeau asks you about L, and tells you that he is in fact Lysandre. He says that Lysandre helped him out when he was a kid, and that he has another mission for you on the battle court at Centrico Plaza.
Fancy battling
Once you arrive at the court you find some adults trying to teach children about the intricacies of Pokémon battles. However, as it’s the kids’ day off from school they just want to goof around. Fight the Battle Connoisseurs to scare them away from talking to random children. The man, François, has a level 47 Gabite and Sliggoo, while the woman, Vivica, has a level 48 Aromatisse and Slurpuff. After you’ve defeated them, Corbeau arrives once again. This time you are interrupted by a noise, and Corbeau asks you to come with him to investigate.
Following the noise you see Jett and Urbain/Taunie together making a speech. Bystanders nearby explain that they believe that Quasartico Inc. is behind the influx of wild Pokémon appearing in the city. The crowd seems ready to riot. Urbain/Taunie takes Jett to safety while you and Corbeau take on a battle two-on-one. Your opponent has a level 47 Pinsir, and level 48 Onix and Glalie. Once that’s dealt with you can return to Hotel Z, though as soon as you return Corbeau will call you and ask you to come to his office alone.
Return to the Rust Syndicate Office and speak to Philippe. This will complete Main Mission 20.
Corbeau’s showdown
Corbeau tells you how impressed he is with you, and clears all of Urbain/Taunie’s interest. He also asks you for a battle, and it’s an offer you can’t refuse. You receive a notification through the Z-A Royale app that your next promotional match will be against Corbeau. This will start the next mission, Main Mission 24: Reaching Rank C. However, as we haven’t earned enough points for the ticket, we’ll have to take part in another Battle Zone.
Back to the battle
Wait until night or rest at a bench and travel to the Battle Zone so that you can earn your next ticket. We need 38,000 points but rewards on Bonus cards now go up to 20,000 points for knocking out 10 Pokémon with a certain type of move. Focusing on these big point cards will see you quickly earn enough points for the ticket. Once you’ve earned your ticket you can head straight back to the office.
The fight for Rank C
Corbeau will be our hardest fight yet with his powerful team of level 50+ Pokémon. He also has great type diversity and a new Mega in the form of Mega Scolipede. It maintains the same type, and has Protect to stop your most powerful moves. Overall, he has a level 50 Arbok, level 51 Gyarados and Roserade, and level 52 Mega Scolipede.
Once you have defeated Corbeau you will rank up to Rank C and he will also give you TM100 Gunk Shot. This will bring Main Mission 24 to completion.
