Note: Should this article be named "Mega Evolution TCG Era merchandise" or "MEGA TCG Era merchandise"? I started it under the current name because of the links on M-P Promo cards pages.

The Japanese Mega Evolution Era of the Pokémon Trading Card Game officially began with the release of the dual Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia expansion on August 1, 2025. The collection encompasses numerous items of TCG merchandise, many featuring Mega Evolution Pokémon. Below is a chronological list of all the items released during the Japanese Mega Evolution Era of the Trading Card Game.

Pokémon Card Gym Promo Card Packs 1

Pokémon Card Gyms in Japan operate much like Pokémon Leagues outside Asia, in that they provide a regular opportunity for people to meet, trade, and battle. Approved Pokémon Card Gym locations are sent paraphernalia from The Pokémon Company to host meetings, including promotional card packs to distribute amongst participants in whichever way they see fit. One pack is typically given to every participant of Gym Battle events, standard tournaments open to all ages, and to every participant of New Set Battle events, age-specific tournaments that require players to use a quantity of the latest cards in their deck. More packs are usually given to the top finishers in tournaments: three for those placing first, two for those placing second, and one for those placing third. Additional packs may also be given out at other events hosted by the Pokémon Card Gym location.

The first Pokémon Card Gym Promo Card Pack to be distributed during the Mega Evolution Era contained one or two out of a possible seven M-P Promotional cards, one of which was an exclusive Pokémon ex. Each promotional card bears the Pokémon Card Gym logo. These packs were first given out upon the launch of the dual Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia expansion and continued to be distributed throughout August 2025.
