The e-Card Era's merchandise ended up being rather limited compared to the other Eras of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Featuring only two products, the e-Card Series merchandise rounds out the end of Generation II in preparation for the release of Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire in November 2002. Below is a chronological list of all the items released during the Japanese e-Card Era of the Trading Card Game.

Starter Pack

As one of only two pieces of merchandise made available during the e-Card era, the Starter Pack (Japanese: スターターパック), was released first on December 1, 2001. Like preceding Starter Packs, this half deck contains a random assortment of cards: four Pokémon and five Trainer cards are sourced from a collection of cards exclusive to the Starter Pack, which covers the Generation I and II first partner Pokémon and their evolutions, eight cards from the first 32 of the Base Expansion Pack, plus thirteen Energy cards. The Starter Pack also comes with a rulebook, damage and status counters, and a coin.

Theater Limited VS Pack

The second item of e-Card era merchandise was the Theater Limited VS Pack (Japanese: 劇場限定VSパック), released on July 13, 2002 in conjunction with the premiere of Pokémon Heroes: Latios & Latias. The half deck features Pokémon that are native to Alto Mare, the setting of the movie, including the Eon Pokémon Latias and Latios, as well as Pokémon belonging to a few characters in the movie. The half deck also includes a coin and a set of damage and status counters.
