Information
Initially teased on Pokémon Day 2026, 30th Celebration specifically marks 30 years of the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which debuted in Japan with the Expansion Pack (known outside Japan as the Base Set) in October 1996. Every single card included in this set, including Basic Energy cards, features a Holofoil design and the Pokémon 30th Anniversary logo. The set also includes a uniquely numbered subset of 30 Pikachu cards, with a different holofoil pattern and the Pokémon 30th Anniversary logo behind the card text; each booster pack includes one of these Pikachu cards. Additionally, the set introduces Futuristic rare cards (identified with the symbol internationally and the rarity symbol in Asian markets), and also features a selection of 30 classic cards from previous Pokémon Trading Card Game sets, from Base Set to the modern day.
30th Celebration is the first set to be released globally on the same day—including in Simplified Chinese, which was still catching up with Scarlet & Violet Series sets at the time of the set's release.
