Lunar Dance (Japanese: みかづきのまい Crescent Moon Dance) is a non-damaging Psychic-type move introduced in Generation IV. It is one of the signature moves of Cresselia.
Effect
Generation IV
Lunar Dance causes the user to faint, but restores the HP and PP of the Pokémon that is sent out to take its place as well as removing all status conditions (except fainting). If the user moves before the opponent, the restored Pokémon is then sent out before the end of its turn.
Generation V to VII
The receiving Pokémon is now sent out at the end of the turn after all other Pokémon have moved.
Lunar Dance can now be stolen by Snatch.
If powered up with a Psychium Z into Z-Lunar Dance, the move will gain no additional effects.
Generation VIII onwards
In Versions 1.0 to 1.2.1 of Pokémon Sword and Shield, Lunar Dance could not be selected in a battle. Starting with Version 1.3.0, it is usable.
If the Pokémon sent out to replace the user already has full health, no status condition, and full PP, Lunar Dance's effect will not activate until a Pokémon is placed in that position (either by switching in or using Ally Switch). A pending Lunar Dance will not activate if a Pokémon already in that position loses HP, gains a status condition, or loses PP; it will only activate when a new Pokémon is placed in that position. Each position can only have a single instance of Lunar Dance pending (using it multiple times does not stack). Lunar Dance can stack with Healing Wish.[1]

In other games
Lunar Dance targets all other team members in the same room, restoring their HP (to max HP), PP, and curing them of bad status conditions. The user's HP is reduced to 1 after using the move.
In the Explorers and Adventure Sqaud series, the PP will be fully restored, however from Super Mystery Dungeon, the PP is only restored by 5.
