|
Snor (Japanese: ゴン Gon), known as Lax in Chuang Yi's translations, was the fifth Pokémon shown to be obtained by Red in the Pokémon Adventures manga.
History
Red first met Snor during RGB saga, where he was blocking the Route 12, which was being used for a bike race. Red managed to wake up Snor with some Beedrill honey that had dripped onto Saur. After this he followed Red until the goal of the race, where he was then caught by him.
During his journey through Kanto, Red used Snor in various battles, such as in his battle with Giovanni, where it battled against his Nidoqueen and Golem. During the Pokémon League, Snor was also used to battle against Blue's Machamp. Eventually Snor was able to land a combination of Double-Edge and Toxic on Machamp, making him so weak that Blue recalled him.
During GSC saga, Snor was used during the Gym Leader test for Viridian Gym, where it easily defeated the Pokémon Association's Forretress and Azumarill. Later during the saga, Snor proved his amazing physical strength by stopping the Magnet Train which had broken out of control.
In the Sevii Islands, Snor was used by Red during the Battle Path. Later, he was used in a battle against Deoxys, but due to Deoxys changing into Defence Forme, his attacks had no effect on the DNA Pokémon. He was then nearly killed while defending Red from Deoxys's Psycho Boost.
