Pokémon Adventures
In Interesting Interactions Involving Illumise , a Quick Claw was listed as the held item of a rental Skarmory that Emerald used at the Battle Factory .
A Quick Claw was held by the Metagross that Emerald borrowed from Crystal for his battle against Tucker in A Cheeky Charizard Change-Up I , allowing it to outspeed Tucker's Charizard and trap it in a supereffective Rock Tomb . This proved to be not enough to knock the Flame Pokémon out, however, and Charizard was able to defeat Metagross with Overheat .
Trivia
The Japanese name of Quick Claw can also be read as "Teacher's Claw", which explains the Quick Claw gift from the teacher of Pokémon Trainers' School in Hoenn .
