Evolution
Trivia
- Rampardos has the second highest attack of any Pokémon, and the highest attack of any non-legendary Pokémon. It is surpassed only by the Attack Form of Deoxys.
Origin
Rampardos is based off on the group of dinosaurs including Pachycephalosaurus although the head ornamentation resembles that of Stygimoloch.
Name origin
Rampard's name is a pun, combining the words "ram" (to slam into), "hard", and "rampart" (a type of fortress). Rampardos comes from the same etymology as the Japanese name, however, it adds on "dos", a common ending for dinosaur names.
