Guts (Japanese: こんじょう Guts) is an Ability introduced in Generation III.
Effect
In battle
While a Pokémon with this Ability has a status condition, its Attack is increased by 50%. Additionally, a Pokémon with this Ability does not lose Attack due to burn.
The Attack boost from Guts does not activate if a Pokémon is frozen and uses a move which thaws it out, such as Flame Wheel or Flare Blitz.
Outside of battle
Guts has no effect outside of battle.

A Pokémon with this Ability will gain a 100% bonus to physical attack the turn after being inflicted with a major status affliction. If a second status affliction is added or replaces the original affliction, this Ability will not activate.
