Atticus (Japanese: シュウメイ Shūmei) is the boss of Team Star's Poison crew, the Navi Squad. He specializes in Poison-type Pokémon. Said to be descended from ninjas, Atticus is responsible for the modified uniforms his fellow bosses wear.

In the core series

While enrolled in the Academy, Atticus was bullied for liking old-fashioned things, evident by his manner of speech. The bullying may be why Atticus is seldom seen without the hood of his outfit covering his face. Atticus also has an eye for fashion.

In addition to the Star Badge, Atticus gives out TM102 (Gunk Shot) after defeating him.
