Trivia
Origin
Applin appears to be based on a worm, and may be based on the concept of a worm burrowing inside of an apple. Considering its Dragon typing, it may be a pun on wyrm. It may also be based on the Worm on Linton of British myth, a green serpentine dragon that lives inside a hill.
Name origin
Applin may a combination of apple and inside.
Kajitchu may be a combination of 齧る kajiru (to gnaw), 果実 kajitsu (fruit), and 虫 chū (bug).
