- All of the Pokémon to learn this move by leveling up are pure Poison-type Pokémon and are a part of a two-stage evolutionary line.
- The description from Pokémon Stadium errorneously states that the move has a "fifty-fifty"-chance of poisoning the target. Actually, it is 30%.
