Pochama (Japanese: Pochama ポッチャマ Pochama) is a Water-type Pokémon. Along with Turtwig and Chimchar, it is one of the three starter Pokémon the player receives at the beginning of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. Pochama's English name has been reported by Serebii to be 'Piplup'. However, this is not yet confirmed, as it is only on one of the playing pieces for a game made by 'Jacks Pacific'.
Pochama comes with the ability Torrent, which increases the power of Water-type attacks by 50% once the Pokémon has less than one-third of its maximum HP.
Pochama evolves into Pottaishi at Level 16 and into Emperte at Level 36.
