- Jumpluff is one of ten non-Bug, Template:Type2 Pokémon that cannot learn Fly.
- Jumpluff is the only non-starter Template:Type2 that has undergone two evolutions and does not use an evolutionary stone to undergo the second one.
- In Pokémon Colosseum, the shadows of Jumpluff's spores are square. In addition, the spores are always facing the same way relative to the camera, and as such, the player is the only able to see one side of them.

Name origin
Jumpluff's name is a combination of jump and fluff. Its Japanese name is based on 綿 wata, cotton and 根っ子 nekko, root. Jumpluff's evolutionary line's names are a reference to the phrase, 'Hop, Skip and Jump'.
