Joe (Japanese: ジョー Joe) is a supporting character who appeared in Zoroark: Master of Illusions, and the grandfather of Karl.

History

Joe and Tammy, a close friend of his, first escaped from the illusion Entei's intense flames, where they sought refuge in Tammy's flower shop.

Joe was glad to see his grandson Karl after his long time away, and joined everyone back to Tammy's shop for tea. He is an old watchmaker who has lived in Crown City his entire life, and thus is familiar with both the legend of the city's guardians as well as the disaster from twenty years prior.

Joe later witnessed the real city's guardians battle against Zoroark. During the events of the movie, Joe's grandson Karl, Ash, his friends, and Rowena hid from Grings Kodai in Joe's house. He explains the events from the city's past and reveals he helped construct the Pokémon Baccer World Cup countdown clocks in the city. They soon discovered the true motives of Kodai's scheme to steal the Time Ripple's power. His information proved a climactic point, as he directed Ash and his friends to the final clock, hidden in the Pokémon Baccer Stadium gardens.

Joe and Tammy later joined Ash and his friends after they foiled Kodai's plot. He watched as Celebi made several plants flower before it time travelled away. He stared sternly and watched Kodai's arrest by Officer Jenny at the Stadium. He joined Ash, his friends and Tammy at the seaport to see his grandson Karl, Rowena, Zorua and Zoroark set sail for the Unova region.
