A Clown (Japanese: ピエロ Pierrot) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that debuted in the Generation IV games. They are found throughout Jubilife City, but only Clown Lee from the TV station can be battled in Generation IV. They are men in orange clown suits. A Coin Case can be received through a clown in Veilstone City.
True to their costumes, they mostly use Mr. Mime and Mime Jr. in battle.
They are similar to the Juggler and Harlequin classes.

While passing through Jubilife City on his way to Lake Verity in Licking Lickitung, Diamond met three clowns and the Pokétch Co. President. In the manga, the clowns were part of a campaign for the Pokétch Company, somewhat similar to games (three Coupon clowns situated in Jubilife City). Diamond also became part of the campaign and dressed as a clown for the part.
