Bonnie (Japanese: ユリーカ Eureka) is a traveling companion of Ash who debuted in Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin! along with her older brother, Clemont.
History
Bonnie was fist seen with her brother Clemont. Both were standing outside the Prism Tower when they watched Ash go inside. When Ash was ejected out of the building, Clemont used his backpack which converted into a giant airbag for Ash and his Pikachu to land. Pikachu was catapulted upwards and Bonnie was able to catch him. As soon as Pikachu was in her arms, Bonnie began to hug Pikachu tightly which caused him to use Thunderbolt on her and the two boys. Bonnie apologized and explained that she is too young to have her own Pokémon and therefore always becomes excited when she meets one. Though she cannot own a Pokémon, she participates in other activities when she can. She refereed the first Pokémon Battle between Ash and Clemont and lead the way to the Pokémon center after Froakie was injured.
In Lumiose City Pursuit!, Bonnie was able to pet a Garchomp that Professor Sycamore was researching and met even more Pokémon in the Professor's Yard before Team Rocket infiltrated the lab. Bonnie tagged along with Ash and Clemont to help free the enraged Garchomp from the machine controlling it and watched her brother use one of his inventions to break in to the Prism Tower.
In XY003, Bonnie and Clemont officially decided to accompany Ash on his journey through Kalos, and Ash and Clemont shook hands to affirm their new partnership. At this moment Bonnie exclaimed "don't forget about me!" and the two boys crouched down so all three of them could join their hands. This is another example of Bonnie's desire to participate and not be left out of anything. Later in the episode, the group encounters a wild Dedenne. Bonnie begged Clemont to allow her to "keep" Dedenne. She uses the term "keep" to refer to a Pokémon that she wants to train and officially capture someday. Clemont agreed, but unfortunately the Dedenne ran off before they were able to act.
