Wyatt B. Yessler (Japanese: ソーティム・ダ・ヨティム Sohtim da Yotim), known as Wy-Yes (Japanese: ソーダヨ Sohdayo) for short, is a recurring character who first appeared in Wynaut?! Wy-Yes!. He is a journalist who writes for Occulture and a former member of the Rising Volt Tacklers.
History
Pre-series
Prior to The Pendant That Starts It All (Part One), Wy-Yes became a member of the Rising Volt Tacklers where he meet Friede Captain Pikachu, Orla, Ludlow, and Murdock. A couple of days later, Wy-Yes and his teammates would welcome Mollie to their team. During his time as a member of the Rising Volt Tackler, Wy-Yes would give Mollie various false informations, leading to them to have a strained relationship. Eventually, Wy-Yes left the Rising Volt Tacklers to become a journalist who writes for Occulture.
Pokémon Horizons: The Series

Wy-Yes and his partner Wynaut debuted in Wynaut? Why-Yes!, where they reunited with the Rising Volt Tacklers and, in the process, met the newcomers Dot, Liko, and Roy. The Rising Volt Tacklers had recurred to him in an attempt to track down Lucius's Entei, but while he had the information, Wy-Yes would repeatedly sidetrack to talk about exaggerated tales about his former teammates and his history with Mollie. Later, Wy-Yes helped Friede and the younger members resolve a territorial dispute between a group of Farigiraf and Espathra, which provided him enough material for Occulture, and only then provided the information they were after: an Entei sighting had been made in Olivine City in the Johto region.
Some time later, Wy-Yes met a photographer from Sinnoh named Perrin, which sparked a friendship between them after finding out they were mutually acquainted to the Rising Volt Tacklers.
In HZ131, a year after Wy-Yes's last encounter with his Rising Volt Tacklers teammates, he and Perrin decided to travel to Levincia to meet them. During this encounter, he met new member Ult, who was quite impressed with Wy-Yes's accomplishments. Together with Perrin, Wy-Yes vowed to reveal the truth about Exceed's plans to the world and clear the Rising Volt Tacklers's name. Later, he joined everyone to watch Roy's battle against Master Mayonnaise.
Character
Wy-Yes has a habit of mixing real facts with some "exaggerated" ones, which makes some people doubt the veracity of what he says. For this, he has a catchphrase: "The truth is what we make it." Wy-Yes also has a complicated relationship with Mollie because of this. He also cuts people off when they're about to ask him a question, wrongly assuming they were going to ask questions about himself to which he'll answer in great detail. His high energy gets mixed reactions, some loving it and some hating it. Despite this, Wy-Yes does care about his friends.

None of Wynaut's moves are known.
