Generation V
Physical attacks lower Defense and raise Speed.
Generation VI
Physical attacks lower its Defense stat and raise its Speed stat.
Generation VII
Physical attacks to the Pokémon lower its Defense stat but sharply raise its Speed stat.
Generation VIII
Physical attacks to the Pokémon lower its Defense stat but sharply raise its Speed stat.
Generation IX
The Pokémon's Defense stat is lowered when it takes damage from physical moves, but its Speed stat is sharply boosted.

Weak Armor (Japanese: くだけるよろい Broken Armor) is an Ability introduced in Generation V.

Effect

In battle

Generations V and VI

When a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a physical move, its Defense is decreased by one stage and its Speed is increased by one stage.

If a Pokémon with this Ability is hit by a physical multi-strike move (such as Fury Swipes), each hit activates this Ability.

Generation VII onwards

Weak Armor now raises Speed by two stages.

Outside of battle

Weak Armor has no effect outside of battle.

Ceruledge When Ceruledge is hit by a physical move, the outer layer of its armor briefly glows purple and then shatters. A red glow then shoots up around Ceruledge's body, boosting its speed.
