Walkthrough:Pokémon Sword and Shield/Part 21
Postwick
With disaster averted, and now the official Champion, after a brief cutscene of the Slumbering Weald we find ourselves at home in our bedroom. Professor Magnolia arrives and gives us a Master Ball as a thank you present, before leaving to allow us to continue our adventure. Head down the road to Hop and Leon’s house, and once you’re there go upstairs into Leon’s bedroom. You’ll find a Poké Ball there, which Leon has left as a gift for you. Inside is a Charmander that has the Gigantamax factor, so when you evolve it into a Charizard it will already be able to Gigantamax without having to be fed Max Soup. With everything taken care of here, it’s time to head back into the Slumbering Weald.

Slumbering Weald
Our destination here is the altar in the deepest part of the Slumbering Weald, where we retrieved the Rusted Sword and Rusted Shield earlier. Hop is here as well, taking some quiet thinking time, but he congratulates you on your victory before, inevitably, challenging you to another battle. He gives you some time to make any changes to your team as you wish before you can initiate the battle when you’re ready.
Hop’s team is almost identical to the one you faced in the Champion Cup; the only difference is a change of movesets and the addition of Cramorant. Given that you have just beaten Leon, who has a tougher team at a higher level, Hop should be relatively easy to dispatch.
After the battle Sonia emerges to congratulate you on your victory over Leon, and to reveal that she’s taken over from Magnolia as the Professor. She even gives you a signed copy of her book, although Hop already bought his own copy. Sonia then prompts you both to return the Rusted Sword and Rusted Shield to their rightful place at the altar.
With the items returned, you can now exit the Weald. Or, at least, you could, were you not suddenly blocked by two rather strange looking gentlemen. They recognize Sonia, but accuse her book of being filled with lies, before revealing themselves as Sordward and Shielbert, who declare themselves to be descendants of the first kings of Galar. The two self-described “celebrities” then take the Rusted Sword and Rusted Shield that you’ve only just returned, before challenging you to a battle - you’ll face Sordward on Sword, and Shielbert on Shield.

Upon your victory you’ll successfully reclaim the Rusted Sword or Rusted Shield, only to find Hop lost to the other brother, his mind apparently elsewhere. The brothers then identify you as the trainer who took down Eternatus, stealing their glory, and also present when Bede destroyed the mural in Stow-on-Side. The two of them then head off, with Hop following closely behind them to try and retrieve the missing relic. Sonia suggests meeting up at the lab in Wedgehurst - head there next.
Wedgehurst
The first person you find isn’t Sonia, but a person the professor reveals to be her new assistant, to help with her workload. Sonia takes you to her Power Spot Detector, which should help you track down Sordward and Shielbert. It’s picking up a particularly strong reading in Turffield Stadium, indicating the two brothers might be there, so that’ll be our next destination.
