No Retreat (Japanese: はいすいのじん Last Stand) is a non-damaging Fighting-type move introduced in Generation VIII. It is the signature move of Falinks.
Effect
No Retreat raises the user's Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed by one stage each. It also prevents the user from switching out or fleeing. No Retreat fails if the user is prevented from switching out or fleeing from No Retreat.
If the user has already been given the "Can't Escape" status by another move such as Mean Look, No Retreat will successfully grant its stat boosts but will not create an additional status line to trap the user again. In this case, using No Retreat multiple times will create multiple boosts.
Holding the item Shed Shell, Eject Button or Red Card allows the user of No Retreat to switch out even after using the move.

Trivia
- The Japanese, Chinese, and Korean names of this move literally mean "to fight with one's back to the river," an idiom for a desperate last stand. The idiom originated from the historical Battle of Jingxing, where the now-renowned Chinese general Han Xin ordered his army to fight with a river at their backs and no way to cross, successfully routing an enemy ten times their number. The move's animation is a reference to this.
