"To match the games" blurb on Moo-Moo Milk (Neo Genesis 101)

Now, before you or anyone else tries to use an error in the trivia section to dismiss that blurb I inserted on the page in light of the HeartGold & SoulSilver reprint of the card bearing the name "Moomoo Milk", I've found some visual evidence that the blurb I inserted is, indeed, 100% accurate. Around 8:40 in this DP video (further evidence around 8:53) and around 2:30 in this Plat video (further evidence around 2:50) is enough to prove that the name on the HeartGold & SoulSilver in the reprint was indeed changed to match the video games. (For the record, I went ahead and left the error in trivia for now just in case you decided to revert me out of rage without looking at the visual evidence...) --Shiningpikablu252 18:43, 29 January 2010 (UTC)

Does one have to be in a high place to use the template?

I noticed that I am on the Top Contributors of the Month list, so I am wondering if one has to be in a certain high position (such as fourth place) there to be able to use the 'this user has been a top contributor of the month' template. The answer is probably no, and possibly merely inclusion there would suffice, but I was wondering. Steph 00:17, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

You've made it. Go ahead. MaverickNate 00:17, 1 February 2010 (UTC)

I suppose this is the place to ask...

As per the Image reversion policy, I have to propose to one of the Admins about changing anime images. I'm not quite sure whose talk page to contact, but I decided to pick you since you're the editor-in-chief.

I was going to purpose that this image of Ursula's Plusle and Minun be changed to this one. It is a .png, at the same resolution, shows the entire bodies of the duo, and shows how they utilize teamwork. - Chosen of Mana - 16:34, 4 February 2010 (UTC)

New cards

Here you go~

Houndoom

かじばのいちげき - Fire Counterattack

If your opponent has any Fire Pokémon in play, this attack does 20 damage plus 60 more damage.

ダークロアー - Dark Roar

Your opponent discards one card from his/her hand.

Weavile

スナッチクロー - Snatch Claw

You can use this power once during your turn, when you play this card from your hand to Evolve one of your Pokémon. Look at your opponent's hand and discard 1 card.

だましうち - Faint Attack

Choose 1 of your opponent's Pokémon. This attack does 30 damage to that Pokémon. This attack's damage isn't affected by Weakness, Resistance, Poké-Powers, Poké-Bodies, or any other effects on that Pokémon.

Rattata

かじる - Gnaw

Raticate

くいこむまえば - Eating Front Teeth (awful translation, but it's the best I can think of... D8)

Does 10 damage for each damage counter on your opponent's battling Pokémon.

かじりこわす - Gnawing Down

Discard one basic energy attached to your opponent's battling Pokémon.

Supporter cards

フラワーショップのお姉さん - Flower Shop Lady

Choose 3 Pokémon and 3 basic energy from your discard pile. Show them to your opponent, then return them to your deck. Then shuffle your deck.

ロケット団の手口 - Team Rocket's Modus Operandi

Draw two cards from your deck. Your opponent then discards one card from his/her hand.

I trust you'll be able to take what I didn't blatantly rip from other TCG pages and make them sound TCG-ish. 8D 梅子 16:46, 6 February 2010 (UTC)

Sorry to have to do splits and overhauls on cards depicting milk without any other warning...

However, it wasn't my whim that caused the splits and overhauls. It was a Team Compendium ruling that forced the overhauls. I didn't want to have to do it, but the ruling states that Moo-Moo Milk and Moomoo Milk are different cards entirely simply because of the slight differences in name and effect. 2 damage counters per heads on Moo-Moo Milk, 3 damage counters per heads on Moomoo Milk, that apparently got Team Compendium to see them as two different cards. As such, it falls into the same situation as Energy Charge as opposed to Power Charge, where we also see them as two different cards due to Team Compendium saying so despite similar effects. I did take care to remove as little information as possible in this split/overhaul...--Shiningpikablu252 04:43, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

LoL

I don't think you understand the meaning of the word "opinionated." Here. This might help you out. If you can give me one example of how my article on Goods cards was, and I quote, "opinionated," I'll be happy with simply fixing some factual errors within your rewrite as opposed to reverting back to my initial version. Otherwise, rewriting something for the sake of rewriting something is extremely frowned upon (at least it was when I was more active), especially when there was nothing factually, grammatically, or otherwise wrong Bulbapedia-wise with the article. And frankly, I don't think you have any basis on which to say my article was "opinionated." Additionally, your rewrite contains a couple over-explained sections and factual errors. For example, saying that Goods cards "typically" depict items from the games is erroneous, as only two real sets have been released in Japan, and by my count, around 14 out of the 23 Goods cards that have been released are not based on any item from the game. I definitely wouldn't call less than half "typically." It's not an opinion to say that, name aside, Goods cards are literally exactly the same as Trainer cards. I'm fine with explaining what exactly that means, in as simple a way as possible so as not to confuse the issue, and with saying that Goods cards receive a hint of blue in the word "Goods" and on the side. Unless my eyes are deceiving me, most of the Goods card in front of me is not tinted blue. Lastly, this isn't a big issue, but I'd prefer we refered to the so-called "LEGEND" era as the HeartGold & SoulSilver-on era, as "LEGEND era" is really just terminology someone on PokeBeach or Serebii made up... no one involved in the competitive PTCG actually calls it that. We didn't call DP-on the "LV.X era." It's not a big deal, though... I'm fine with leaving that. So yeah. Think about what I said and think about why you really deleted my article and replaced it with your own draft. --ニョロトノ666 19:48, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

I chose the word opinionated as a place holder, because I thought it would be less embarrassing to have that instead of "This article is complete shit" in the edit summary/recent changes: which is essentially what your article was. But, now that you brought it out into the open; you obviously want the truth, which I was reluctant to give a 15 year old, just in case you would happen to freak out about it. But I guess you still pissed your pants about it anyway.
I used the word typically, because they are new trainer cards, and trainer cards depict either game items, or items of the like. I was preparing for the future so that we wouldn't have to edit it again to reflect a new percentage of cards. It was a deliberate preparation.
Are you color blind? Because the word "Trainer" on English Goods, and the word "Goods" is obviously blue. You should go see a doctor if you aren't seeing it, because your eyes are in actuality deceiving you.
LEGEND era is the Japanese name of the HGSS era. Since Goods are a Japanese classification of cards, we use Japanese names of eras and sets on pages depicting Japanese exclusive things. You would know that style if you were active. We do use LEGEND era because the Japanese card official site does, not because the beach or serebii do. Have you ever been to pokemon-card.com? I will give you one point for knowing we do not call anything the "LV.X era," but "HeartGold & SoulSilver-on era" is still wrong according to pokemon.com. There is no reason why I--and in extension, we at Bulbapedia--wouldn't be using official names. Why you would support unofficial naming conventions is beyond me.
And for the fact about my "rewrite"? let's look at time stamps. You happen to still be an administrator for now, so I know you can look at deleted revisions. My article and information is about a month before yours, making mine the original and the one you made the rewrite. "[R]ewriting something for the sake of rewriting something is extremely frowned upon" is something I agree with. So why would you do it, when the page you made was so horrifically horrible? Since Um is hitting Pi, who's a male, it would be confirmed that Umbreon is a female. As for Pa and Gl.

If Glameow is Female, Pachirisu is male.

If Glameow is Male, Pachirisu is female.

Gl Um

3; Even though it looked like Pachirisu was hit by Glameow, Glameow might have hit Piplup, really confirming it to be Female, while Umbreon is unconfirmed.

So, maybe since a lot of Glameows are female, Pachirisu is a male.

Get it? BlockyCuzco 02:57, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

Speculation. Simple. ht14 02:58, 21 April 2010 (UTC)
There is really no way of telling whose Attract hit who. Your diagram proves nothing. As Ht14 said, speculation.
I noticed your that you argued the fact that Glameow are more likely to be female in the games. But did you take in the fact that Umbreon are more likely to be male? If going by game schematics alone, Glameow is female while Umbreon is male. Now we know that Piplup is male, meaning that Pachirisu would most likely be female. But you said it was male.
Either way, Games =/= Anime. Most of the Delcatty, which is a female dominated species in the games, that have been shown in the anime have been confirmed male. Case in point, "Johnny" and Lila's Delcatty.
Bottom line: All we know is Piplup is male and either Glameow and/or Umbreon are female. Pachirisu can't be determined by that. --ケンジガール 04:05, 21 April 2010 (UTC)

You are right. Umbreon are more male.

Attract works only if the attracter is male and the target is female, as well as female to male.

So, it's possible Glameow hit Piplup who is a male. Then, Glameow is female.

This can mean Pachirisu IS female, because...

Glameow are more female.

Umbreon are more male.

So, this means Pachirisu can be a female. BlockyCuzco 16:15, 24 April 2010 (UTC)

Okay, let's keep the discussion up.

Another method of a Pokemon being more male in the games and there is a female in the anime (or vice versa) is Ash's Bayleef.

When I first played my Pokemon Soul Silver game I got for easter, when I picked a Chikorita, it was male.

But, Ash's Ketchum's Chikorita was female. This shouldn't be necessary as his other confirmed gender starter Pokemon (Charizard, Totodile, Sceptile, and Infernape) were male, was well as his Pikachu being male.

In the starter Pokemon case of this, though, my Piplup I chose for my Pokemon Pearl, which is now an Empoleon, and named Kevin was male.

Dawn's Piplup was also male. This is obvious most of the Piplup is male when it is more male in the games.

So, it's possible for genders to match game information. BlockyCuzco 05:07, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Replacing Game Move Images

When replacing images for in-game moves such as [4], can I use DP images or would sticking to GBA images be better?

Images from the most current game are preferred. MaverickNate 00:53, 25 April 2010 (UTC)
Are we allowed to replace moves that still have GBA images with DS ones? -Joeshie
Yes. Absolutely. Make sure they are good screencaps. MaverickNate 01:03, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

Why???????

" " are you deleting the page????? totoRulz 14:29, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

It's not notable for mainspace content. MaverickNate 14:30, 25 April 2010 (UTC)

They put their pages in their own userspace. You can find everything you need to know it the Userspace policy. If you wish to make a personal page, please do so at User:Totojo158/Name. You weren't doing that. You were making it in the mainspace. MaverickNate 21:12, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

You can stop being annoyed now.

I have finished what I was doing. I just wanted to thank you for writing me the nasty message while I was 1/2-way done. I'll leave the rest of the mess that I hadn't gotten to yet, and the ones that I couldn't edit because they are protected, up to you since you sound like you can do it so much better. For the record though, instead of changing "many romanizations," I only changed Zigzagoon, Kyogre and Suicune because they were wrong. On the other hand, I FIXED Skitty, Growlithe, Blaziken, Aron, Flygon and Zorua because the articles were terribly inconsistent in usage. Instead of "jumping the gun" and yelling at someone in mid-work next time, I would suggest either helping, or seeing if their finished or not before butting in; getting yelled at while you're helping tends to annoy people. Setlistentry1 template

Been wracking my brains over what to do with this. The template at the moment limits itself to the first two eras of the TCG, and will require several other similar templates for EX, DP, and Japanese-exclusive lists. Putting these templates into the rest of the card lists will also take a long time. I was thinking it would be a lot easier to put the code for the rounded boxes on top of the existing code. This means that the coloured boxes for Trainers/Supporters/Standiums/Goods (which is a nice added touch) will be absent (unless a small template could be made for these?), but will save a lot of time and will have a similar result. Personally, the tables the majority of the lists use I think have a lot more potential freedom, incase there are unusual or unforseen additions. ~~nuva-kal 10:07, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

I have my own ideas that I passed onto TTE; I'm mostly just waiting for him to actually do them. I would really like to see them in an actual template, though. MaverickNate 10:51, 14 May 2010 (UTC)

Fighting dojo image

I saw you deleted the image from the fighting dojo page. I wass just thinking that, since there is no better one might as well leave that one there. Oh and if you could tell me how to take a better pic of the DS i'd love to put that one up. Eugeniu14 09:01, 23 May 2010 (UTC)

Houston, we have a problem

Our current overworld sprite standard creates a bit of a situation when you consider that the sprites of shiny Normal Forme Deoxys and normal Speed Forme Deoxys should both be a:File:386ODS.png. Unfortunately, it seems like the best way to fix this might be to move the Forme letter before the O (which is how we have it with the MS's).--MisterE13 23:25, 25 May 2010 (UTC)

TCG Redirects...

Sorry, I happened to notice that you deleted some redirects for the TCG linking mostly to Base Set cards, such as the former Charizard BS and others, and I aquired permission from Politoed666 on my talk page here: User talk:Smartkidhen#The TCG redirects... befroe I made them. I just wanted you to know so that we are both on the same page. Thanks,--Smartkidhen 21:53, 29 May 2010 (UTC)

Ok.

Ok, I see my "edit" wasn't good enough, but then, how are we gonna fix the problem with the template, then? I don't see any solution to this. wat 19:52, 31 May 2010 (UTC)

I hope you don't mind me replying, Nate, I know your keyboard isn't working atm :(
For one think, Masatoshi, you should never just insert a bunch of line breaks to fix a problem, especially a technical problem. What browser and resolution are you running? This might be a factor, because the two templates should only use 65+33=98% of the page width. —darklordtrom 20:57, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Might be a problem of mine, then. I use Google Chrome, and it hurts me to see templates that are messed up :(. I know I shouldn't have added those lines, it's just that it bugged me out to watch the template merged with the infobox, but never thought it would be a browser problem, by the way, my resolution is 1024 x 768, sorry for having rushed to that, I had to do a mistake someday, good thing it was today and for a minor problem. edit: By the way, my first comment looks like I'm being cocky, just to clarify, I was not. wat 21:02, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Ah, Chrome. Got a screenshot handy? I want to know how much it overlaps. —darklordtrom 21:17, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Sure, here (spoiler template overlapped, as well) and here's the one in question. wat 21:39, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Thanks for that. It looks like Chrome doesn't autowrap templates that are centered on a page. This is something for us to look into. For the time being, you'll have to put up with messy pages. Sorry. —darklordtrom 21:42, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
It's okay, I can use Firefox (it was my default browser until got slow and Chrome appeared) in the meanwhile :P. wat 21:52, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Just an update, I've worked in a fix for the "spoiler" tag, so it should work properly now; the issue is with both Chrome and Safari, for future reference (all webkit-based browsers).
None of the other templates have been touched, partly because I don't have the time at the moment, and partly because I don't know which ones exactly need fixing; if any more problems come up, leave a message on my talkpage about it, and I'll see what I can do to fix the issues. -- Jïörüjï Ðērākō.>.cнаt^ 04:24, 1 June 2010 (UTC)

Clash attacks

Just gotta say, I have no idea what "side" is supposed to refer to. I just translated directly, and hopefully you know what the hell it's supposed to mean. D:

Palkia & Dialga LEGEND

  • サドンデリート Sudden Delete
    • Return all the cards attached to one of your opponent's benched Pokemon to your opponent's hand.
  • ときをあやつる Manipulate Time
    • Discard all Metal Energy attached to this Pokemon, then place two cards from the top of your opponent's deck to your opponent's side.

Rayquaza & Deoxys LEGEND

  • オゾンクライマックス Ozone Climax
    • Discard all Fire Energy attached to this Pokemon.
  • Pokebody: うちゅうウイルス Space Virus
    • If this Pokemon is knocked out by damage from an attack, when you draw from your side, draw an additional card from the side.

Machamp (Great)

  • Pokepower: ファイティングタッチ Fighting Touch
    • Once during your turn when this Pokemon is on the bench, you may attach all Fighting Energy from your active Pokemon onto this Pokemon. If you this, shift this Pokemon with your active POkemon.
  • クラッシュパンチ Crash Punch/Crush Punch (could be either)
    • One Special Energy on your opponent's active Pokemon is discarded.
  • かいりきバスター Strength Buster
    • Does 100 damage plus the number of damage counters on your benched Pokemon +10.

Celebi (Great)

  • Pokepower: もりのいぶき Forest's Breath
    • Once during your turn when this Pokemon is on the battlefield, take one Grass Energy from your hand and attach it to your Pokemon. This Pokepower may not be used if this Pokemon is afflicted with a special condition.
  • タイムサークル Time Circle
    • On your opponent's next turn, this Pokemon cannot receive damage from your opponent's stage 1 or stage 2 evolution Pokemon.

Electrode and Yanmega's attacks are unknown. 梅子 03:47, 17 June 2010 (UTC)

I mean, we have a Midori Harada Artwork and a Kagemaru Himeno Artwork section, Both of these women also work in different media, so does Mitsuhiro Arita. Why was this deleted? TokoyamiTheDark 19:05, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

I replied on my Archives talk. I do get the message bar there as well, you know. MaverickNate 19:06, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Finally, it wasn't on BlubaPedia that I saw a Kamen Rider image on Midori's section, bur rather at a MIRRORED page. Why did you delete Best Wishes!, the page about the upcoming season of the anime? --Shiny Noctowl 22:28, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

We barely know anything about it: all we have is a leaked image and such. And your article completely sucked. You didn't even categorize it! Nothing with such poor quality standards should ever stay. It will be done better by someone with more experience. MaverickNate 22:34, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
You could've just added the categories. Besides that, what was wrong with it? --Shiny Noctowl 22:42, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
Categories wasn't the only problem. Remember when I said we barely have any information about it? Also, the artwork might also be a fake, because the names for Tsutarja and Mijumaru are not the same as what was already revealed. We don't know enough confirmed information about it to make a decent page. MaverickNate 22:44, 1 July 2010 (UTC)

Unleashed/Undaunted

Why would you consider the Undaunted the English version of Reviving Legends when the Prime, the Legends and the Decks are the same as Unleashed. Cheers. - plau 11:30, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

The majority of the cards in Unleashed are not from Reviving Legends AND the majority of Reviving Legends will be in Undaunted. It seemed more appropriate, and it was what we were going to do in the first place before someone else did it otherwise. MaverickNate 12:16, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

Regarding TCG Revamps

If the card came out in Japan first with no English counterpart (as seen with Bonsly), then what do we write for its debut? Also, I noticed we're getting rid of levels... why is that? ht14 02:59, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

It debuts in the Japanese set, so the Japanese set gets named UNLESS that particular card gets translated into English, then, the English set for that particular card is named. And for the levels, they are only there because it was the way the pages were named backed in the era of Happy Mask Man before Pie reformed the naming conventions for the TCG. We deemed it a meaningless piece of information that didn't really belong here anymore. MaverickNate 04:22, 6 July 2010 (UTC)

  • Moving damage counters from 1 Pokemon to another is not blocked by Heal Block.
  • While Heal Block is in effect, you may use Potion though it does nothing.

Luxray AR

Card text

Trivia

Rules

  • You must declare whether you would like to discard the Pokémon Tool or not when you use Gadget Bolt. If you would like, the Pokémon Tool is discarded after damage is done. So Gadget Bolt always gets +20 damage from Expert Belt.
  • If Luxray uses Gadget Bolt to Knock Out Gengar SF and discards Expert Belt, Gengar may use Fainting Spell after Expert Belt is discarded. The Defending Player takes only 1 Prize card if heads.

Substy 08:46, 8 July 2010 (UTC)

I would much rather they be on one separate rules page, instead of all scattered on all the card pages. Let me think on this. It sounds like it would be a major implementation, but I am really leaning to pages with them listed, rather than on the card pages. Would you mind making one in your userspace so that I can look at style and such? MaverickNate 12:33, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
My opinion is creating several common pages, such as "Put the Knocked Out Pokemon in the Lost Zone", "Disable Poke-BODY" and "Attack Process". But if a card has a unique effect, it may be better to leave the rules on it's own page. Substy 21:33, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
But, in the mean time, could you possibly help make more clash pages? MaverickNate 12:34, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
With pleasure. Are Pokedex and trivia needed? Substy 21:33, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Maybe all of them could be different sections of one rules page? But yes, Pokédex and trivia are needed, as well as the Japanese names. We just haven't been putting dex entry because it is much easier to copy paste right from the official site, which updated yesterday. It would be a great help for me if you could do them. MaverickNate 23:03, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
I think the page would be too long. It needs lots of sections. Substy 09:15, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Maybe split them into separate pages by set? MaverickNate 12:13, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
Sounds like a plan. I'll try it out in my page. What about Trainers and Energies? Substy 15:10, 9 July 2010 (UTC)
I guess we could put them on the pages for every set in which they appear. MaverickNate 15:38, 9 July 2010 (UTC)

Chiramii

Why would we have the page at an incorrect Hepburn Romanization?—Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 21:13, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

And your argument for using it on the history makes no sense, there's no trademarked Romanization out.—Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 21:14, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
Oops. Umeko's argument, sorry.—Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 21:15, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
  1. No trademarked Pokemon names have ever used macrons, so there's absolutely no chance of that being its actual name.
  2. Special characters like ā have a risk of causing issues with the server.
  3. No one will ever search for Chiramii spelled in such a way.
  4. I've looked into it, and "myi" does not seem to be universally accepted by any common romanization standard anyway - and it makes even less sense for Hepburn, which is based on English phonetics. 梅子 21:33, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
  1. When the actual name comes out we'll just use it. If we just use Hepburn we're not imposing our own interpretation on the information.
  2. What?
  3. That's what redirects are for.
  4. I'll concede that. But I don't care if we just use ī for it.—Loveはドコ? (talk contribs) 21:39, 15 July 2010 (UTC)
There's also the issue that if we don't use a spelling that is currently widely used by the fandom, the article won't show up in Google searches. And my point about special characters (such as the macron vowels) is that they have been known to cause issues with the server when used in article titles, so it's important that we try not to use them. Excessive use of redirects is, as I understand it, not preferable either.
Also, as per the signature policy, your signature needs to reflect your username, which it currently does not. You will probably want to change it, thanks. 梅子 21:49, 15 July 2010 (UTC)

Where are the policies?

Hi Maverick,

I've read the policies why my website page was deleted, as nobody can make pages with stuff they own (Website URLs and other stuff). But, however, I couldn't find the topic about fansites. Can you give me the URL so I can reaad it, please? TokoyamiTheDark 17:16, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

It might not be a written policy, but I know that pages over fansites have been deleted for that reason before. It is considered to be promoting your own fansite, which is against the rules. We tend to be strict on fansite pages, and only the most popular, well-known ones tend to stay. Fansite pages aren't supposed to be created by their founders. MaverickNate 17:21, 16 July 2010 (UTC)

Perhaps you're not the person to ask, but...

My apologies for asking this, but do you think you can or know of someone else who could give me a username change? I asked TTEchidna before some months ago, back when we had the constant errors so obviously it couldn't be done then, and I would ask him again now but apparently I'm disabled from making new sections on his talk page. I do realize the rules for a name change, that once done I can no longer go back, which I am perfectly fine with.

I'd say what I would like to be called now, but I'm just going to check first if there are any others who might be able to make a name change... Uh, thanks. Mudkipchan 01:53, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

Any member of the Editorial Board is allowed to make your necessary name changes. However, as I am not technically part of it and wish not to get yelled at later, I would prefer if you could ask someone who actually is a member. Sorry for the inconvenience. MaverickNate 02:00, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

I have made an unfilled version of Zoroark (anime 13) here.. I saw that you protected the creation of the page and decided to put it in the userspace!! I was hoping that it could be used once it's allowed to be made.. I'm also allowing people to edit it to fill in the info that needs to be filled.. --Landfish7 00:26, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

That article needs a lot of work before it can be mainspaced. Keep working on it. Jello 00:31, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
I have edited the article quite a bit since I have made it.. all I need is for some more info on the summary of the things the character did throughout the movie!! If it was mainspaced.. I'm sure people would be more willing to edit it!! I haven't seen the movie yet so I can't really edit that part!! Anyway, other than that I have everything, including voice actors and japanese characters for it's name!! --Landfish7 17:27, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Seriously!! I need SOMEONE to respond!! Can the creation of the page be unlocked so that I can mainspace my page? Here is what it looks like as of yet:!!Click here!! --Landfish7 20:41, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
It really really needs more information before it can be mainspaced. Let me ask some more opinions before any action is taken; you'll know by tomorrow. MaverickNate 21:00, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

no mirror cards?

Hi, I'm new here and am editing Leafeon_vs_Metagross_Expert_Deck_(TCG). Why don't you distinguish mirror cards from normal ones? Nt4pokemon 16:27, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

We are developing a new template that will work a lot better than the one we use now. It just seems a bit redundant to repeat the same card over again. MaverickNate 18:29, 23 July 2010 (UTC)
Ok. I'll wait for the new template. Nt4pokemon 21:07, 23 July 2010 (UTC)

I'm not going to make a big deal of this...

...But seriously, no one except you gives a fuck if I "steak" an image without any sort of identifying stamp on it from another website. They don't care, our users don't care... hell, even our official policies don't care, unless there's one I'm not aware of. I mean, obviously I'm not going to take the 'Beach's images, since those are identifiable by the logo. But if I could claim a scan as my own, meaning that there is no identifying symbol or quality to it (lots of scans have square corners, by the way), there's absolutely no reason not to use it on Bulbapedia. Especially if it's high quality and an English replacement for a Japanese or other foreign scan.

If there's a policy disallowing what I uploaded somewhere, and I'm just missing it, link me to it. Otherwise, Bulbapedia needs some specific guidelines on that written up ASAP, since I'm sure users commonly waste their time uploading totally generic, high-quality, unidentifiable scans that aren't going to get us in trouble at all, and then having them deleted. ._. --P o L i 04:46, 28 July 2010 (UTC)

The reason It was deleted was a copyright violation. The reason I know it wasn't yours was because I recognized exactly where it originated; I have also talked with that site before, and got told that if we use their images, we will have major legal problems on our hands. You say "I'm sure users commonly waste their time uploading totally generic, high-quality, unidentifiable scans" without being here to know any of the history of how things currently work. For the most part, Kogoro and I (and recently Jello, at my request) are the sole people uploading any type of Trading card image here on this website (which includes scans from both her and I, official images, and donations from websites who we have personally went to and asked). For the few percent of what isn't (Zedbill, Tokoyami, matt) I personally know that they scan all of their images, or, in the case of matt, retrieve official images.
Bulbapedia does not have any policy on images. You know why? We have this image depository called "Bulbagarden Archives" that is here for all of Bulbagarden's image needs. Policies are there. The rules are there. Stealing is against all of Bulbagarden's policies, not just for images. I have no idea why we have to reiterate that stealing is wrong towards a staff member.
As for replacing other language scans, our ruling is the English scan (that is, of your own collection, not stolen) needs to be of equal or better quality of the previous image.
And finally, if you weren't going to make a big deal of this, you wouldn't have posted on my talk page. You have my word as the head of ALL images of Bulbagarden, that what you did was terrible, just terrible, and completely against the rules here. MaverickNate 05:03, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Can't resist.
No, what's terrible, just terrible, is, uhm... like, the holocaust? Or would that be terribly terrible, just terrible terrible? All kidding aside, I highly doubt you know what site I got that image from... if you get it right, I'll drop the issue. If you don't, or if you refuse to play, it goes to show how ridiculous it is to assume that I got a particular scan from a particular site when the scan is totally unmarked, hence proving my point. And frankly, it's a damn image. It's not copyrighted by any other site, obviously, it's not marked, I could easily claim it as my own, and I can guarantee you that any site stupid enough to take legal action on something like that would be laughed out of court. I guarantee you that a jackload of our archives images are ripped from other sites, and no one except Serebii cares about unmarked images taken from his site. And there's a reason for that. And when you say that most of our scans come from you, Kogs, and Jello are uploading most of our images... that's funny, because I guarantee that the three of you combined have less than maybe 1/10th of all the cards ever printed to scan in. Where are the rest of the images coming from? And, uhm, if it's not from another site, pray tell where did you get the Pikachu Illustrator scan? Now, I'm tired and going to bed, but I'll be able to reply to your upcoming TL;DR that I'll read anyway tomorrow. --P o L i 05:19, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
I was actually making a reference to LeBron leaving Cleveland, but state as you wish. You got your image right here, who got their image right here. I've gone to the second site before, asked their webmaster whether or not we could use their images, and was told "hell no." They have since started site stamping everything.
Also, since you still seem to be claiming that it is your own, pray tell why you didn't scan the card to fit in with our standards of having the full card, borders and all, in the scan.
Serebii may be the only one from another site to care whether or not his images are used here, but he is not the only one. Stealing has never been tolerated on the Archives ( or, in real life to say the least; why you are trying to justify it is beyond comprehension), and the Editor in Cheif (me) and the Archives Council have personally been cracking down on everything taken from somewhere else. It is not tolerated and everything that is stolen is deleted or replaced. The key word is stolen. I never said we had every card ever released to scan in; however, I did say "includes scans from both her and I, official images, and donations from websites who we have personally went to and asked." <sarcasm>Way to read everything.</sarcasm> The Pokémon Illustrator card (which, that is what I assume you are talking about, because there has never been a card named "Pikachu Illustrator" before) image was a donation from someone else who actually scanned the image, and let us use it. MaverickNate 12:51, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Bolded a part of your tirade that doesn't exactly make sense, might wanna fix that. First off, on a minor note, plenty of reputable sources, including Beckett (yes, it's made mistakes, but so has everyone) refer to the card as Pikachu Illustrator. But either way, I don't care about that. Maybe I'm wrong.
What I do care about is this whole picture business. No, I didn't get the picture from the 6P article, which is the first Google images result, I see. Uhm, I'm not claimimg it as my own. I thought I made that pretty clear. What I'm saying is that there's no way to tell if it's my own or not if it's not stamped. I got it from an Amazon listing. But actually, that fact is irrelevant to my argument. Where Amazon got it, I frankly don't care about... if Amazon got that image from a different site on which the images are copyrighted or otherwise protected, that's Amazon's bad, and Amazon would get in trouble. Not us. And I find your comparison to stealing IRL interesting, since it absolutely does not apply to this situation. And taking a picture from another site online is different than stealing like... money or something. Sort of surprised I have to explain that. See, if I were to steal something IRL, the person I took it from wouldn't have it anymore, and they would take a clear and verifiable monetary loss. If I take an image from another site on the internet that took them a total of five seconds to upload (or, most likely, take it from another site), they still have it, they suffer no harm, and, in most cases, unless they were an asshole about it, they would have no desire to pursue any action against us or even bring it up. And sorry I keep saying this word, but the courts wouldn't give their complaints any credence because their claim that we "stole" the image would be totally unverifiable. Sorry I keep using that word, but it's true. --P o L i 21:48, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
However, the Archives makes it completely verifiable. It has this interesting feature that stops you from uploading an exact image that already exists in our database. If you check out the recent uploads, you'll see that I restored your image momentarily. That was because I tried to upload the image from the site I stated above, and what did I get? "This file is a duplicate of the following file: YanmegaSupremeVictors14.jpg." Guess what? That is more than enough proof to say that you are lying, and that you stole the image. You better damn well start caring about the rules. This does not apply to stealing anything tangible in real life: you are correct. This applies to copyrights and plagiarism. Plagiarism falls under the "illegal" designation. It is taking someone else's work and presenting as your own. It is stealing. It is also a violation of U.S. copyright law. You might want to read up this informative essay on Visual Plagiarism before digging yourself into a bigger hole. I have no idea why I need to explain this to a sophomore in high school, but I do have an idea about what will happen to someone who apparently does not care about stealing content and visuals. Plagiarism is very real, and also, the original creator will still have the stolen content/images. Don't try to defend an illegal action; you won't win. MaverickNate 22:39, 28 July 2010 (UTC)
Just so you know, Poli, Nate's not the only one who cares about this. TTEchidna 02:12, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
I know he's not, but I assume you would at least be reasonable about it. There's no way I'm going to upload, like, a verifiable scan off the Beach or something. And Nate, try uploading the image from Amazon. See if it says the same thing. I would, but I can't because you took away my administrative powers on Archives. Either way, I don't care that much, even though it does slightly annoy me that you felt the need to do that. But yeah, here's something: whoever initially uploaded it doesn't have a copyright on it, because it's a direct scan of someone else's work. In this case, the true original owner of the scan is TPC. That's like scanning the Mona Lisa into your computer and claiming it as your own without adding any new visual elements to it. In other words, ridiculous. And, since I offer you a 100% guarantee that the image is used on at least ten sites, there's no real evidence as to which is the original owner, and hence, no legal basis on which to file a case unless the owner wanted to waste thousands of dollars hiring an attorney, someone with the technical expertise to try and prove something like that, etc. etc.. And as I mentioned above, there's no evidence I knew the scan was previously ripped from another site, so we wouldn't be liable in that case. In any case, I'm done fighting with you about it. If people would rather take the site of technicalities rather than logic, that's their perogative. The only thing I ask is that an effort be made to find an English-language scan of that particular card so that it can be included in the article. I know that the purpose of scans is primarily to show the card artwork in the actual article on the card, but for archetype articles I prefer if an English-language scan is included in the article so people can see what it does without me having to explain it in the article and without them having to click a link. That would be appreciated. I don't have the Yanmega in my personal collection, so if you could get an English scan from a user or from one of your contacts, that would be great. Thanks. --P o L i 14:30, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
In any case, sorry for double editing, but Nate, I apologize that I spoke unprofessionaly to you. Whether I like it or not, it's your turn to be above me now in rank, and I should respect that more. I've made my point, and I won't upload from other sites again if I don't have permission. I used to do it constantly, and no one ever complained to me about it, so I assumed it was okay now. Regardless of whether I personally think it's okay or our policy is ridiculous, I need to respect it, and I realize that. So yeah, just thought I'd say that. Sorry. --P o L i 14:40, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Neither Serebii nor any other site has any rights to the images. Their copyrights are owned by Nintendo/Game Freak/etc. and can be used under fair use. --Shiny Noctowl 13:14, 31 July 2010 (UTC)
...and it may seems like false, but you cannot own a copyright for a card you scanned. It's like if I said my Altomare's Latias scan 011/018 was (c) to me... They belong to Nintendo, Creatures, Game Freak and Media Factory. A German Website's Carddex.Net ENTIRE COLLECTION of scans are stolen from Pokemon Paradijs and stopped updating their website with scans since the latter website started watermarking everything. Also, a French website PokéCardex steals ALL Japanese scans from Pokemon-Card.com with absolutely NO CREDIT and watermark them as theirs, like what Carddex did before. There's a reason why this message pops-up on every website directed by Media Factory if one tries to right-click... "右クリック禁止になっています。画像のコピーはしないでね!"...just when you thought you saw it ALL of Media Factory's websites, such as Soul Eater, Kamen Rider or Dance in the Vampire Bound...TokoyamiTheDark 16:04, 3 August 2010 (UTC)

Would you be alright with this?

I noticed you deleted my trivia entry on Luxray GL Lv.X. I don't know how you'll feel about this, but I need to ask you since you're the head of Project TCG and this would be a fairly major undertaking. Would it be acceptable to you if we were to put a "Deck archetypes" section under the trivia section on all TCG pages? In that, we could provide a link to any deck archetype the card was featured in (this would result in a lot of red links, but also some important wanted pages) along with a very short description of the card's role in the deck. I think it's important to mention what archetypes a particular card is featured in on its page. At the very least, if can help kid with that card look at what they could do with it. I clearly really need to get back into the swing of things, and a simple, large-scale project like that might help a lot. Hope you're of the same mindset. Let me know what you think, I believe it's a pretty good idea. Thanks. --P o L i 15:13, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

I thought you just made a large scale redirect project in order to get you back into the swing of things. How'd that turn out for you? Not well. Sadly, archetypes are as official as fan sites, hack games and walkthroughs. I've been coming up with a plan with what to do with them, but, unfortunately, there isn't much we can do from the informative view point that it must be in. I'm open to more suggestions, but what it currently is will no longer work... MaverickNate 16:13, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Actually, the redirect project went very smoothly. I decided against going through with redirects to every card followed by the set abbreviation, but... there are redirects to every set from the official and unofficial set abbreviations, redirects to every ex, redirects to every Lv.X, every Prime, and almost every * (sort of forgot about the last one :P). So yeah, I'd say the redirect project was a success. As for the archetypes being as official as fansites... that's true, since they're primarily fan-created, but they're a lot more important than fansites for a variety of reasons. Archaic described the importance of archetype articles on the forums awhile back when you said something similar, but now unfortunately I can't find the post. I'll ask him to re-state his position on it, since he can put it better than I can. And what sort of ideas are you having? --P o L i 14:59, 30 July 2010 (UTC)

Uploaded better scans of Raikou/Entei/Suicune from the Perfect Set(Japan) and Autumn Tin Decks(USA)

I have uploaded better scans of the Legendary Trio from the Perfect Set, and images can be found below :

http://archives.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:RaikouHGSSPromo.jpg http://archives.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:EnteiHGSSPromo.jpg http://archives.bulbagarden.net/wiki/File:SuicuneHGSSPromo.jpg

I think the images from the official Japanese Card database can be removed since we have better scans. Do you like them?

EDIT : They were scanned by a fan (and friend) of mine (Yankuri) and he's okay to have the scans on BulbaPedia. After all, there were no images before exept the low-res images from the Japanese database... Also, for some reason, eBay sellers has a like to steal his scans, so he gives them to me so I can upload them to BulbaPedia before eBayers take them. I also had my WHOLE 6th Movie scans stolen by an eBayer, and he didn't even had the deck! The buyer was 'scammed' and I DO NOT authorise eBay, Auctiva etc.. to use my scans, so they went to use BulbaPedia's images, which were from MY website first. So... if you see an image from here on eBay... it means eBayers stole them...

Giruja's a FAKE!?

Hi,

Soon after I uploaded Giruja and Burokko's images, they were candidates for deletion because they were FAKE? How is that possible!? Burroko was even shown as a toy besides Kibago, and the swan-like Pokemon is a REAL one since Yahoo! Kids leaked the image. But...why is it fake, and do we have any proofs? Check here. It's an example to fit Sablelock, the next archetype I'm going to write. However, I'm having trouble making the images variable. Basically, that's what I want it to look like. However, I don't know how to set it up as a true template, and that's where you come in. The images must be exactly 145px so they will fit next to one another, but I don't know how to set that in the template. Let me know what you think, and hopefully you can make it into a template. Latest design contest cards

I'll get around to uploading everything once I get a reply from Umeko, I can't for the life of me read the attack effects, so I hope she can turn up something. I'm surprised no other site has released info regarding these, though I completely stumbled upon them. Would it be best to put these in with the L-P promos, even though they are not numbered? I also have the images of runners-up (not on cards) in the competition, but I'm not sure if it would be best just to stick to the winners? ~~nuva-kal 19:58, 9 August 2010 (UTC)

I'd say they should be listed in the L-P promo list. I thought about where to name them as well, and they do say L-P. I linked to the pages on Zorua and Zoroark. I also think it would be cool to have the runners up too. These pages will already have galleries: no reason not to put them up. Do you know how to use the infobox feature that switches the images out daily? That Arceus contest card would have it as an example if you don't. MaverickNate 21:09, 9 August 2010 (UTC)
Yep, I know how to do them. Umeko says she can read bits of the text, apart from some crucial points. I don't really want to disturb her while she's on holiday. Could you see if any others could have a stab at what they say? Also, how many runners-up images do you want for each card? They are broken up into "Excellence Award" (2nd-6th), "Special Award" (7th-16th) and "Lucky Award" (17th-66th). The problem with these entries are that entrant's names in Japanese, so I run the risk of getting names slightly wrong, with alternate spellings and all. ~~nuva-kal 20:24, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
Maybe just to the Excellence award. The infobox only supports up to either 10 or 15. I'll see if I can get anyone else to take a look. MaverickNate 22:03, 10 August 2010 (UTC)
I asked around: no one was confident enough with their translations though... =[ Maybe some bigger images will pop up somewhere. MaverickNate 22:19, 13 August 2010 (UTC)
Are you just keeping these in Unnumbered now? I'm not sure how best to structure these with regards to runners-up images, perhaps a separate gallery section for each of the publications with the top 6 under an "entrants" heading or something, with a show/hide. I won't be able to add anything until the end of next week, as I have none of the images and have a horrible internet connection!
I have also been looking into the battle e+ stuff and am planning to do updated templates for them and try and get lists for the ones we're missing, which I'll submit for your mainspace additions. While I'm on that subject, do you want to add the TFG templates I did ages ago - I think the attack box may need another look at to get everything working (specifically the Pokémon Power on/off statement, which some other code whizzes may need to look at), but the rest seems to be good to go. ~~nuva-kal 11:40, 28 August 2010 (UTC)
Personally, I hate the show/hide. Why should we hide content from the readers? That's just what I think. Yeah, after the official site updated the list with them, I decided it best to just put them in unnumbered. Last year's promos are there, so it makes sense to put these there too. Our limit for images will have to be 15. That the highest amount the reprint feature in the infobox can handle, and I would like it if any images we show in a gallery are in the infobox somehow as well.
I'm glad that someone else is looking into battle e. When I created those pages, it was mostly just to get them cleared off the wanted pages, and they surely aren't the best... I'm sure anything you do would be a tremendous help.
I can get someone to take a look at the TFG stuff, if you like. MaverickNate 14:01, 29 August 2010 (UTC)

New TCG images?

Hey, I recently wondered to myself if it would be a good idea to update the TCG scans with actual official scans from the official site. e.g[6]. The images are smaller, but much cleaner than the current scans and feature the true colors. I would be willing to rip them if you'd think this is a good idea.--Cubic Question 03:01, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

We decided that it wouldn't be worth it, because they would need to be replaced with real scans eventually anyway. The minimal benefit does not outweigh anything. MaverickNate 06:04, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
None of us have really liked your little anime image purge anyway, I'd hate to see it happen to the TCG too. MaverickNate 06:06, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
..Which was the whole point of me asking. I stopped the "anime purge" you were talking about anyway, so that's irrelevant. Not sure why you would bring that up, but okay.--Cubic Question 06:17, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
They are smaller and blurrier, they would lose the personal touch that scanners add, they are smaller than the cards are in real life, and the color is only screwed up if you suck at scanning. Must I continue? I only mentioned it because I still see it going on. MaverickNate 06:21, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
Again, the whole point of me asking was because I'd consider them official scans of the cards. Also, what are you talking about? I stopped resizing previous images back when I was told to stop. I don't know why you have a problem with me, especially since I've been trying to help from day one, but whatever.--Cubic Question 06:24, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
This is not how the original series looked. It's miscolored, it does not show the full body, and it is some ridiculously small "standard" image size that no one agreed upon because no one likes how small it is. This is how the original series looked. This is larger, and is closer to what we like to have as image representations on pages. MaverickNate 06:47, 19 August 2010 (UTC)
If you noticed, they're under two different file names. I replaced This with This as the MAIN image in the page. I pulled the debut image directly from the first frames where you can visibly see him. It wasn't listed anywhere in This that that was the debut episode. In fact, I added that extra image to the Lickitung's page so it wouldn't be so barren.

So yeah, I'm not arbitrarily replacing key images or anything, like you think I am. and the "standard" image size that's so small is what most of the 4:3 images are at anyway. I'm not forcing it on anyone.--Cubic Question 06:59, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

Shooty

Protect Shooty as well. "Shooti" is just a bizarre spelling used by Merrick, I'm not sure about its correctness and it's fugly. --Maxim 17:59, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

k. Don't mind the delink, I just don't want it on the wanted pages if it won't be created for a while. MaverickNate 18:00, 19 August 2010 (UTC)

I was sent a template as a joke!

I received an e-mail from someone telling me to put a 'template' on my home page. But if I copy and paste the text, something appears! "This user was awarded the Golden Slowpoke Award for the month of August, 2010."

What's this? Is this a joke or real? I don't know anymore. If it's real AND SERIOUS, can this be put on my page? I just don't know what it means...TokoyamiTheDark 01:49, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

EDIT : That guy tried to scam me by putting a template, which is NOT tolerated if you don't have it, but the worst thing is, this template is given to people who create BAD pages on BulbaPedia! Better not use it. I think I'll need to be more severe with my e-mail's SPAM filter later on. That dude's better not mail me again, or else...TokoyamiTheDark 02:01, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

Who sent this to you? MaverickNate 02:47, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
..I don't know. It was an e-mail from an anonymous guy. I get tons of SPAM these days, and I have a link on my website who link back to my userpage. That person could have used the 'Contact Me' section of my website and send me the text to type for the template. After I learned about Templates, I blocked and deleted the mail, so I no longer have it...TokoyamiTheDark 18:08, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
That's unfortunate. I have the power on here to connect e-mail addresses with usernames, and I would have been able to find the user who sent the e-mail. MaverickNate 18:10, 20 August 2010 (UTC)

Growth?

Hi Nate, I asked this question to JD, but it seems I caught him a little too late. But, it works out since you're the one who protected the page anyways. Why did you protect the page Growth? Littlmiget123 01:59, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

I'm not him but I think it has something to do with growth raising more than one stat in gen V...Ataro 02:01, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Blurrrrr, edit conflict. Other sites said that in Generation five, effects would change, and I don't think we had any confirmation at the time. Umeko undid someone adding the other sites' claims, and I protected it. MaverickNate 02:02, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
The edit conflict would be me, sorry ^^;. Anyways, I guess I can edit it some other day, then. It's quite unfortunete that people do that, though. Takes away from everyone else's fun, so to speak, lol. Thanks Ataro and Nate. Littlmiget123 02:04, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Question

I don't know who can answer, so I´ve chosen you: Why SP252 isn't a sysop anymore?Empoleon96[My Talk]03:20, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

I think it's because his behaviour was getting out of hand. Or at least that's what I think after looking through some talk pages about it.--Pokélova! 03:40, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Okay, thx :) Pokelova Empoleon96TALK 03:44, 24 August 2010 (UTC)
Don't worry, it won't be long before I earn full reinstatement. Hopefully by the time of Black and White's Japanese release...--Shiningpikablu252 18:33, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Probably not the best thing to say... =/ MaverickNate 18:35, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

A few archetype topics...

Well, LuxChomp is finally done. I know I said that after I finished that, it would be a good idea for me to get the old archetype pages assimilated with the newer styled ones. Some of them, such as Mother Flygon, have a lot of content that, even though we're not putting it in articles written from this point forward, I don't see any reason not to keep. I mean, of course I'd do stuff like adding images and updating the template, but shall I simply leave the content basically as is, aside from correcting any errors I might happen to find? Perhaps we can chat on AIM about this later, I should be on tonight. Thanks, gotta run. --P o L i 18:10, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Do what you feel is best. If it is informative information, might as well keep it. If you feel it is best just to correct the pages, then go right ahead. MaverickNate 18:23, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Alright, thanks. I have some ideas. And also, holy shit, I can't believe I used that forum coding. >.> Brain lapse. --P o L i 19:50, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Also, just so that I tell you before I forget, Make your articles at "User:Politoed666/Deck Name" instead of in your sandbox. It looks better in the history, and it is a lot easier for me to have it in my template. The biggest problem is consistency. It's bad when some articles have it and others don't; so, you'll have to either add it to all of them, or not have it on any. MaverickNate 19:53, 25 August 2010 (UTC)
Alright, shall do on the naming business. And what exactly are you referring to in regards to the consistency stuff? --P o L i 00:08, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Nevermind about that. MaverickNate 03:07, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Sory, I' m new and did not know.Pawel10s

Don't worry about it. Just remember from now on. MaverickNate 17:48, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Also, try signing your name with four tildes, Pawel. As in, once you finish writing, simply type ~~~~. Try it. --P o L i 17:54, 26 August 2010 (UTC)

Did you could break the tables on my part, for those with the latest version?Pawel10s 09:04, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Team Aqua's Lanturn

While you made a few changes to the page, you also seem to have removed (inadvertantly, I am sure) a very valid piece of trivia about the card's artwork. You couldn't have removed it intentionally, because, well, just look at the card, and then at Lanturn's shiny sprites. It's like a perfect match! Anyway, I'll just re-add the trivia and it'll all be good, OK? - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 16:25, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

I removed it on purpose. The only cards in the TCG that are shiny are Shining Pokémon, Pokémon ☆, the 12 cards numbered SH## from Stormfront to Arceus, and the recent Legendaries released in the L-P Promotional shiny campaign. That Lanturn card just appears to be shiny from the way the card was scanned mixed with the artists rendition of it. It isn't supposed to be shiny, so we won't be making false speculative claims by saying that it is. MaverickNate 16:39, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Oh, alright then. - unsigned comment from Missingno. Master (talkcontribs) 16:50, 27 August 2010 (UTC)

Userpage

I'm not sure if you are the right person to talk to here but I would like to have access to edit my user page. I see that it says I must edit mainspace pages first to get this access. I can really not contribute too much at this point because I have only played through Red, Blue, and Yellow so far and they have been documented heavily since I was in 8th grade (1998). But I am playing through the other games now and I'd like to get a user page going, make a fancy little checklist for myself of my Pokedexes on different games and such. I would appreciate if you or some other moderator could grant this permission. Thank you! MikuChan 02:57, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Unfortunately, I don't think that can happen without overhauling the entire system. You see, a while ago, many people were only editing their userspace: to them, it came first, and the vast Pokémon encyclopedia that Bulbapedia is came second, and the information suffered. This is why the current system was taken into place. Now, you may not think you know a lot of information, and I'm glad you are taking the initiative to research and learn about more subjects. There are a lot of other things you could work on to pump up your mainspace contribs to get to the necessary amount. the easiest thing I can think of is for you to check out Category:Stubs. It's a list of all of our articles that don't have their full potential of information. There are over 2400: I'm sure you could find something that would interest you. There are also articles that need cleaned up, and even more articles that need more information. If you still can't find anything to do, I'm going to be running a move image project soon that you may be able to help with...if you are interested. MaverickNate 03:40, 30 August 2010 (UTC)
You could also do a random page grammar and spelling check. Go through the episodes, possibly? MaverickNate 03:47, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Bulbanews article

What else should I add, if anything, and could you use any of this for the BW pages? I'm ripping the logo right now.--immewnitythemew 15:47, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

There doesn't look like you can really add much that wasn't already in the previous article. Maybe link the article? It will give me some card layout information for when I actually get around to creating the BW1 set page. But, this will also give me a high quality image for when I create Journey Partners (which I have been lazy and just putting off. =p) Thanks for the alert! MaverickNate 21:19, 30 August 2010 (UTC)

Why?

Why did you delete my Season 14 article? You deleted my Season 14 article and it was really good. A girl won't tell me if she has the same feelings for me and I do not want anymore upsetness please. You deleted my article for season 14. Now I'm mad.Pokedex493 04:07, 1 September 2010

Seasons are an English system. Because none of the BW have appeared in English, let alone Japanese, Season 14 currently does not exist. Because it does not exist, it shouldn't have an article. The link is only on the wanted pages due to a mistake by the Editor in Cheif. It will be created again once we have a name. MaverickNate 21:04, 1 September 2010 (UTC)
