Placing a food item on Mosslax's offering dish will grant an effect based on the flavor of the meal for the rest of the day:
- No flavor: Increased rate of "growing closer with other Pokémon"
- Bitter: Increased chance of finding recipes in rippling water (described in-game as an increased chance of finding "rare items")
- Dry: Increased chance of finding Rainbow Feathers and Silver Feathers
- Sour: 10% trade discount and increased chance of "good items" being available for trade
- Spicy: Increased chance of new Pokémon appearing in habitats
- Sweet: Increased chance of finding lost relics and fossils
The strength of the effect is determined by the complexity of the meal, as follows:
- Strongest effect ("a lot more likely"):
- Medium-strength effect ("more likely"):
- All other cooked meals
- Weakest effect ("a little more likely"):
- All other food items
