Location

Location of Withered Wasteland in Kanto.

The Withered Wasteland (Japanese:パサパサこうやの街 Dry Wasteland Town) is the first available area in Pokémon Pokopia. It is what remains of Fuchsia City after a series of catastrophic weather anomalies ravaged the world and forced humans to take refuge in space.

Ditto is released from its Poké Ball in a cave on the southern part of the area inhabited by Professor Tangrowth.

The Withered Wasteland is located to the east of Palette Town, south-east of the Rocky Ridges, south of the Sparkling Skylands, and to the west of Bleak Beach.

Places of interest

Professor Tangrowth's home

Professor Tangrowth's home is a cave in the southern part of the Withered Wasteland. Ditto is released from its Poké Ball and meets Professor Tangrowth here. The cave is a large open room with barren ordinary soil and dry field grass on the ground. On the western side of the cave is a wheelbarrow carrying a pile of lost relics collected by Professor Tangrowth. Visible are a Substitute doll, a Leppa Berry, a Poké Ball, a flower pot and several books. Next to the wheelbarrow are a piece of cloth with four photos on it, a mushroom lamp, and a straw bed.

Wasteland Pokémon Center

The Wasteland Pokémon Center is initially a pile of rubble on a wooden platform, having been torn down by extreme weather. It is eventually rebuilt by Ditto and a group of other Pokémon, after which a note can be found on the floor inside, alongside a counter with a cash register, a 3D printer, a healing station, and some furniture.

Team R's hideout

Team R's hideout is a structure discovered by Professor Tangrowth and Ditto while exploring after breaking down a wall of cracked sandstone. It sits on a platform, appearing as a lighthouse covered in rust and sand. The machine attached to it leads the Team Initiation Challenge by playing voice recordings from a Team R grunt and giving out fake Gym Badges for completed requests. Magnemite is sleeping inside, appearing after the building is gone

Mysterious Mural

The mysterious mural is a wall made up of tiles with symbols of all Unown forms. Mysterious slates can be placed on the tile with a symbol matching the one on its back.

Demographics

While there are no longer any humans living here, the Withered Wasteland is inhabited by a handful of Pokémon before Ditto starts making new habitats.

Not counting Ditto and Squirtle, the Withered Wasteland is initially inhabited by six Pokémon:
