Comfort Levels

Name Image Description
Comfort Level You can tell how much a Pokémon likes their home by checking out their comfort level. Place things the Pokémon likes near their home to raise their comfort level.
Interested in raising a Pokémon's comfort level? Go ahead and ask them if they're feeling comfy! They'll let you know if there's anything they need from you. If you don't have what they ask for, check the shop or go hunting for recipes!
When you place an item for a Pokémon, be sure to place it near their home. Items placed too far away will have no effect on the Pokémon's comfort level.
You can press near a Pokémon's home to display the area around it. This area display will disappear if you press again or if you move away from the home.
Increasing Comfort Level If you ask a Pokémon "How's your comfort level?" they will tell you how comfortable they currently are. This will also allow you to see how to raise that Pokémon's comfort level.
You can get information about an item or favor that the Pokémon is requesting that day. Granting a Pokémon's request will increase their comfort level.
Asking a Pokémon "How's your comfort level?" and granting their request isn't the only way to improve their comfort. They may also want other items or favors besides what they've requested. Feel free to try different things when you have time!
Comfort Level: Relaxation Place furniture around a Pokémon's home for them to rest on, such as a bed or a chair, to raise their comfort level.
Pokémon can't use beds or chairs that are smaller than they are. Make sure to get big furniture for big Pokémon!
Comfort Level: Food A Pokémon's comfort level will increase when they eat their favorite food or if they eat until they are full.
You can give food directly to a Pokémon for them to eat, but you can also put food on a plate near their living space or plant a berry tree near their home. When the Pokémon is hungry, they will eat on their own.
Comfort Level: Toys Place items around a Pokémon's home that they can play with, such as toy blocks or pinwheels, to raise their comfort level.
Decorating to Improve Comfort Adding decorations to a Pokémon's home, such as mushroom lamps or wreaths, will increase their comfort level.
Things Pokémon Like Different Pokémon like different things. Placing something a Pokémon likes around their home will greatly raise their comfort level!
A Pokémon's comfort level also greatly increases when they consume their favorite food or drink.
You can check your Pokédex to see what each Pokémon likes.
Things Pokémon Dislike Every Pokémon likes certain things–and every Pokémon dislikes certain things too! If you place items that a Pokémon dislikes around their home, their comfort level will decrease.
Preferred Environment Pokémon also have different preferences when it comes to brightness, temperature, and humidity. Adjusting a Pokémon's home to match these preferences will raise that Pokémon's comfort level.
You can check your Pokédex to see a Pokémon's brightness, temperature, and humidity preferences.
Roofs and light sources can affect the brightness of a home. You can brighten a home by placing lamps or streetlights around it. Conversely, you can darken a home by placing a roof over it to block light.
Items that can heat or cool an area, such as campfires or ice, will change the temperature of the home they're placed near.
Water, plants, and other related items will increase a home's humidity. You can also remove those types of items from a home to make it drier.
Comfort Level: Houses Building a house allows you to easily increase a Pokémon's comfort level. Once construction on a house is finished, you can invite Pokémon to move in.
The larger the house, the more the comfort levels of the Pokémon living there will increase.
The comfort levels of Pokémon living in a house won't be affected by adjustments to brightness, temperature, or humidity outside the house. Such adjustments need to be made inside the house to affect the comfort levels of the Pokémon living there.
Comfort Level: Pokémon Center You can make a Pokémon more comfortable by clearing a path from their home to a Pokémon Center. If a Pokémon seems to be having trouble going for a walk, try tidying up the paths around their home!
Tidying Up Paths If you make paths nicer, such as by smoothing over cracked ground or placing steps on hills, you can encourage Pokémon to travel farther from their homes.
When Pokémon go for a walk, they can visit buildings, such as Pokémon Centers or other Pokémon's homes.
Legendary and Mythical Pokémon Legendary Pokémon have a greater effect on the environment level than other Pokémon, making it easier to increase.

There are three ways you can increase the humidity level:
  • Water dry ground to make grass grow.
  • Water plants, such as dry tall grass and trees.
  • Create water sources, such as ponds.
Brightening Areas You can brighten up a dark town by placing items that emit light. Try placing light sources everywhere to brighten up the entire town.
Though fires only provide a small amount of light for your town, they also generate warmth that can raise the comfort level for Pokémon who like that kind of environment.

If other Pokémon are nearby when you cook, they might join in and help out. You may even end up with a different end result than expected depending on the Pokémon's specialty and the ingredients you used. Try making all sorts of food and see what you come up with!
Smelting Furnaces You can melt materials such as copper ore and iron ore to make ingots. Place the materials in a smelting furnace and ask a Pokémon with the Burn specialty to help you.
Getting a Handcar Working If you place a handcar on connected railway tracks, you can ride it to get around. If you connect additional handcars, you can bring small Pokémon with you on your ride.
Place a crossing gate near a line of railway tracks to make a railroad crossing where handcars will briefly stop. Connect two railroad crossings via railway tracks, and Pokémon will ride handcars on their own.
Setting Up a Lift You can create a lift by placing two lift platforms facing each other at some distance. You can ride lifts to faraway places when no other path is available and bring other Pokémon with you too.
You can't make a lift if the lift platforms are too far apart, if the angle between them is too steep, or if something is blocking the space between them.
Setting Up an Elevator If you vertically place elevator platforms and connect them by ladders, you can make elevators to transport you up and down.
You can summon an elevator by pressing the button on the platform. You'll have to wait a bit for the elevator to arrive. Once you're on the elevator, use the up or down button to move to the floor you want to go to.

Palette Town These islands don't have a story to pursue, but they are vast and undeveloped, so you can build them up as you see fit! You can also invite others to play via Link Play to help you develop an island, or you can all visit a Dream Island together.
You can also bring Pokémon from other towns to Palette Town. There are also some Pokémon who you can only find there! Work together with other players and Pokémon to create a fun and lively island!
Playing with Others via Link Play You can play with other players locally or online by selecting Link Play on the PC at the Pokémon Center.
You can invite players to your world, visit other players' worlds, or create a Cloud Island for everyone to explore together. You can also use messages and emotes to communicate with each other!

In virtual mode, you can see how players all over the world are developing their islands and get inspiration.
However, this mode does not allow you to bring your Pokémon friends with you.
Using Star Pieces If you give a Star Piece to a Pokémon who is visiting from another player's world, that Pokémon will give you a gift!
