It has a total of 21 floors, with Quicksand Cave consisting of ten floors, Quicksand Pit (Japanese: りゅうさのどうくつ さいかそう) of ten floors, and Underground Lake (Japanese: ちていのみずうみ). Mesprit serves as the boss of the dungeon, and after the credits can be recruited on subsequent visits. The dungeon is unlocked the day after the player completes the Northern Desert. After clearing the dungeon initially, it cannot be revisited until after the credits.
