Nidorina (Japanese: ニドリーナ Nidorina) is a Poison-type Pokémon.
Biology
Physiology
Nidorina is comparitively larger than its pre-evolution, though it loses the forehead horn. Nidorina's poison spikes are larger and probably more potent; it has also gained the ability to stand on its hind legs.
Gender differences
Nidorina is the female equivalent of Nidorino. This is shown even in its name, which ends in a as opposed to o in Nidorino. A is traditionally a feminine vowel in the English language, particularly at the ends of names.
Nidorina seems to be more docile and and relaxed than its counterpart Nidorino.
Special abilities
Behavior
Nidorina is a gentle Pokémon like its pre-evolution, Nidoran♀. It is a caring mother, chewing food for its young. Athough it would rather not attack at all, it prefers attacks like clawing and biting. It seems to display close family bonds with others of its own kind, and becomes nervous when separated. However, when angered, a Nidorina can become a formidable foe.

Nidorina live in expansive hot savannas and plains.

Trivia
- One piece of information of note is that Nidorina cannot breed, although it is not a genderless species, and its male counterpart, Nidorino, can breed. The same is true for Nidoqueen and Nidoking, respectively.
Origin
Nidorina appears to be based on a rabbit or mouse.
Name origin
Nidorina's name may be based on the word needle. Alternatively, it may be based on 二 ni, two, or 二度 nido, two times/two degrees, referring to there being two distinct evolutionary lines using the name with similar names and traits. The rina in its name most likely alludes to its female gender- in many languages, such as Spanish, names and words ending in a are said to be feminine.
In other languages
